Opinion - what is the best body mesh?

I've tried a variety of modded body types, styles, meshes, textures, and filled gigs of mods into my folders, but I've been dissatisfied with the sim body most of the time. The polygons become obvious the larger you make something and the closer you zoom into it. Some people like less polygons for a more cartoonish look, which is fine. So I'm curious, what bodies are yall using as your favorite, and why do you like them?

 

Which one is my favorite? I'm kinda between bodies at the moment, but I do like CMAR's work. Still, I'm looking for those smoother rounded curves over blockyness, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

 

Maybe there should be a poll?

the best setting is allure boob. Other boobs presets sucks compare to how natural it looks

For female sims I use Allure or Simdulgence's Simplebreasts, depends on what I want the overall breast and nipple shape to be for the sim I'm creating, and for the bottom I usually just use the default Wicked Whims bottom.

 

For male sims I use one of Simdulgence's Realchests or the default male upper, and Simdulgence's Realgens or the Wicked Whims default for the bottom.

Allure and Simdulgence's stuff for smaller breasts. Simdulgence and Eve for larger breasts.

 

Eve bottom for females. Simduglence's simple penis for males. Unless I want the dude to be packing something huge, then I use Noir's Pornstar Cock.

Everyone on the thread has mentioned "Allure", but it's my understanding that the textures are for that are outdated, as a result the appearance in game lacks any color differentiation. Has someone solved that issue?

There are two ways around that, either using a default skin that has nipples on the texture, or adding nipples with Wild_guy's female body details, Noir has some nipple detail tattoos, Mikooi has nipple details, and I believe Erplederp also has nipple details that can be added.

 

This screenshot is with the Allure upper with Lamatisse's Tinsel default skin. No body details were added to this sim, these all come with the Tinsel skin.

Female :  2 setups > Eve bottom + Sopor Alure breasts. // Top and Bottom v7 from Magic Bot.  // sometimes I use Realgens.

Male : Realgens from Simedulgence // sometimes I use Noirs V6.

I never use default replacement, I always use non def that allows me a lot more possibilities (but it also needs a lot of micro management).

This female Sim in this pic uses Allure breasts... the mesh is compatible with many skin overlays.

I usually use Hiroki's BetterBody for female sims.

 

But it's too bad, WW is blocking the default mesh now.

 

There's no way to choose the mesh in the game.

Each body mesh is the best for its own reason. The more body mesh types that one has, the more variety in body shape one can have (so long as one uses Wicked Whims to distribute them rather than just using a default body replacer).

 

That said, I tend to prefer Noir and Dark body types for some of my main sims, specifically True Body for males and the Milky Breast tops with the Soft Vagina for females or the Milky Breast/Pornstar Cock Bottom combo for custom gender female framed sims. The custom skin detail overlays make it an even better choice.

The only real shortcoming of those meshes is masculine framed female sims are not really accounted for so some of the bits fit strangely into their frame. The overlays do not work for them without being modified in Sims4Studio, either.

I'm a creature of habit, but Better Body will always be my favorite. I like the way the nipples look. Haha, but recently I've really loved Oppai's Female Body. The nipples look so cute and the body is so curvy.

Hiroki's Better Body is still the best.

 

The shape of the breast is perfect.

 

But most important is how the mesh was made extremely compatible with the default EA mesh. It's not too high quality, nor too low, it just matches perfectly.

Yeah, the difference there is major.

 

 

I'm actually not fully sure what the other body mods I use are. The rest are more subtle. I do use hokusaii's shape dials though - those are vital to being able to really customize a sim, though his body presets are extremely not my thing, thankfully he removed them from random at my request right before he went inactive.

 

I'm not too fond of whatever I have for the female lower body, but have disliked everything I'd tried to replace it with.

 

 

 

EDIT: Looked at this for two sims in my game.

 

Female sim seems to be using:

- Oddly this guy has body hair... so the second body hair mod is NOT working as expected. I'm not sure why they weren't triggered for the female since the first is supposed to be for blocking body hair on females. The female doesn't have body hair, and since getting these mods I've not seen body hair on females (after the HS pack came out ALL the female sims I made had massive body hair, until I got these mods).
