Sasquatcher Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 I've been using Various Guard Replacer, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10760, for some time now and one day it struck me to get into it and replace the armors in it with my own bodyslide zapped versions of BD's Armor Replacer for the ladies, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32518, and Bad Dogs Skimpy Armor and Clothes for SOS based off of Various Guard Replacers armor choices so that all the guards in game had their naughty bits out but still had some flavor to them without looking like palette swaps like in vanilla. This had been working well enough before AE came along, but now that I've remodded the game for AE, I cant quite get this to work correctly anymore. If I place it far to the bottom on the load order, the male guards are wearing what they should be, but all the female guards everywhere only wear the Solitude armor set that I made for them. If I put this high in the load order near the top, the males are wearing skimpy vanilla guard armor and the females are STILL wearing the Solitude set I made. I use Vortex and I've checked the staging folder for the mod and the meshes in Data in my installation of Skyrim SE with NifSkope, the meshes are all correct. Would anyone know, is this a load order thing or is there perhaps another mod that touches on guards that could be conflicting with it? The only mods I have that I'm aware of touching guard at all are GDO Redux, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20791, and CC's HQ Guard Shields, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1129.
Sasquatcher Posted September 21, 2022 Author Posted September 21, 2022 Well, it seems that the unofficially updated Mator Smash and it's patch that it generated had something to do with it. Reinstalling my custom guard overhaul after the patch was generated seemed to fix it, incase anyone else gets in the same predicament.
