IceBlazeWinters Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 game was working fine, except a few problems like bannered mare crashing and not being able to go into the building involving the golden claw. i got rid of wyrmstooth and all the patches, cause nexus said it is a common cause behind bannered mare crashes. i even got rid of the clockwork kitty mod because dyndolod flagged it as a ctd causer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ all my problems started after i got rid of wyrmstooth and clockwork kitty, and my load order getting fucked up by loot. here's my papyrus crash log, i don't understand what the problem is cause i don't understand what this thing is saying. Papyrus.0.log
traison Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Never gonna find the reason for a crash in the papyrus log. Get this instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59596

yorpers Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) Your title says se/ae so is it 1.5.97 or 1.6.xx ? I assume 1.6.xx but that is too important to just assume; especially since you are crashing when you add .dll plugins like that crash logger. If you uninstalled wyrmstooth in the middle of a playthrough there is a good chance that all saves from that point forward will be unplayable unless you have a save from before you added it. If you had a bashed patch built it will need to be rebuilt too. If you don't have one built and you are using large mods like wyrmstooth, you should be. EDIT: You shouldn't mess with that patch in the middle of a playthrough though as it touches too many things. Edited August 27, 2022 by yorpers

yorpers Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) If I remember correctly you should just right click in the mods tab and have the option to "build patch." Yours would go right before occlusion and dyndlod. Mine says "rebuild patch", yours should be just "build patch" here: Spoiler Since you use AE I may not have much more information I can give that isn't completely guess work. EDIT: maybe it will say rebuild patch too? idk its one or the other? Edited August 27, 2022 by yorpers
IceBlazeWinters Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 i finally got the game to start and run without crashing, but now my skyfurry mod is fucked up once again with people having fur heads, human bodies, and no legs -.=.-
IceBlazeWinters Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 i just can't catch a break with this game i found out that the digitgrade patches were loading WAY before skyfurry, so i moved them down to load after, and now the game is back to crashing again during a save/new game load.
traison Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 It would appear your issue has something to do with character faces, maybe head mesh or skeleton: BSFaceGenNiNode Camera1st [Cam1] Since you already know which mods are causing issues, this should be somewhat easy to fix. One of the mods you moved down in your load order contains a broken nif most likely, and now overrides a file from another mod. Move mods back to the way you had them when it wasn't crashing and you'll find your answer.

Move mods back to the way you had them when it wasn't crashing and you'll find your answer. just one problem: i originally tried to place follower mods below skyfurry so they'd actually load properly instead of being an abomination of human/furry doing so fucked up my entire load order somehow, and i have no idea how to get it back to how it was originally. example: before my load order got fucked, skyfurry loaded correctly at the bottom ahead of it's patches and addons. now, if i don't force it to load after dyndolod, it loads all the way up in the 200s, and gets overridden by everything.
traison Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Just 13 hours ago you said you got it to stop crashing. Are you saying you're now unable to get it back to that state, even if you reverse load order changes? Is that because you can't remember exactly how you had it, or because reversing it does not produce the results you expected? The concept of "having to force" something to load after dyndolod does not make sense to me as a mo2 user. In mo2, where I put a mod that's where it stays and that's where it loads. Are you using Vortex? When talking about load orders, what is up and what is down is subjective. Some look at it as a list (top is first, bottom is last) others look at the index (low is first, high is last). One might say its high (index) in the load order, so it overrides everything else; however high (top) in the load order list in mo2 (and presumably vortex) actually means it gets overridden by everything below it. You saying "all the way up in the 200's" is basically telling me you consider up to be down in the load order list, yet it "gets overriden by everything" which is the opposite of what should be happening if its among the last things getting loaded (bottom of the list, all the way up in the high indexes). Anyhow, from my point of view here it seems like you're having load order issues. If you're using vortex, and if vortex is still based on the same system nmm was using then I'm not surprised. I never found nmm to be reliable when it comes to making large load order changes. It always seemed to skip a few files here and there, or override the wrong files. In addition to that it seems that one of your mods has a broken or incompatible nif that crashes your game when it appears, and that another mod replaces that nif, hence why it works when you shuffle the load order around. The fact that your game looks like it went through a cheese grater when its not crashing is irreleveant, these are 2 different problems and we shoudn't focus on the missing legs issue here imho.
IceBlazeWinters Posted August 28, 2022 Author Posted August 28, 2022 i'm using vortex, so if i let vortex sort everything on it's own, everything from skyfurry gets overwritten because it loads too high in the list. in order for skyfurry's stuff to work right, it has to be at the very bottom. even using the actual loot to sort everything, sorts stuff in the wrong order and actually makes skyfurry load even higher than vortex sorts it.
