Missing male body skin?

This is real strange. Load order is sorted, custom LOD has been generated, giant-ass patch to make the appearance + weapon mods play nice together (I should probably learn to use synthesis to have made that a much faster process), and I know it worked at one point, but i get a lovely purplish-blue hue instead of skin textures, only on the body. I have HIMBO + SOS installed, and what's even more unusual is that the male body textures show up in Bodyslide when i'm building outfits for HIMBO...but they're MIA in game. In fact, if I make a guy and then strip his clothes off, I get a textured cock. Kinda looks like he's wearing a purple wetsuit with a dick hole. Textures are in the right place, there's nothing overwriting the skin entries on Skyrim.esm to point them to a different location, I've even tried installing a different male skin and putting it last in my load order...nada. Anyone know what might be happening here? I feel like it must be something so obvious that i've missed.
