Invisible body with Fusion Girl - any help welcome

I switched from CBBE to Fusion Girl a few days ago. I tried the bodies on Bodyslide and on Bodygen/Looksmenu. Increasingly, my actress has an invisible body. After I created my body with Bodyslide again, everything was fine up to level 9. Now the invisible bodies appear again.

After restarting the game, the body is back. But it's annoying and spoils the fun of the game a lot.

The error occurs with and without additional texture mod for the body. I can't see any regularity or cause either.

Does anyone know the problem and has an idea?

When you get the invisible body bug, equip or unequip whatever armor or clothing they are wearing and see it fit goes away. Especially if that happens on entering/exiting an interior cell.

It just happened to companion Heather. She wore vtaw 8/6. If I gave her the standard clothes, the body was there again. If I put vtaw on her, then don't. Only after restarting the game (just load the save, that doesn't work) were the clothes there again.
My actress also wears vtaw. I had already taken them off when she was invisible, and she was invisibly naked.

It's not limited to Vtaw clothing. Are you using using bodygen or FG conversions of Vtaw 8/6? I'm not sure if it's a conversion issue, or in tandem companion issue wearing certain conversions. Last time I seen it happen randomly was a feathered dress conversion I was using as an Ivy replacer. I console them unequip their clothing requip or equip something else and it would come back. Always seemed to be on fast travel/coc or changing from interior to exterior world spaces randomly. Could do it after a few minutes of play or an hour +. Never seen it happen to a non companion npc though.

It happened to different bodies in my game. My actress when I was traveling alone. my companion. But recently I also saw that DD's Easteregg corpse had a temporarily invisible body. And apart from the DD, she had nothing on.

Whether it also occurs with other NPCs and companions, I don't know yet. I've only started the game again since I started using FG.

I mainly use vtaw FG conversions.

For missing Body on PC and NPC try reinstall MTM 3B OCBP - OCBPC Physics and Collision Preset - Beta and select an Physics Option without the Word Armor in them. It looks a bit strange when rigid Armor jiggles but that fixed the missing Body on PC and NPC reliable for me. 

 

Missing Body on corps is a diffrent story. Seems to be related to the BodyGen Feature of LooksMenu. I dont know a good Fix for that. I remember there was a workaround on Nexus replacing the outfit for all corpses with Jeans and Winterjacket, but this mod is set to hidden now.

The bodygen issue is strange bug. I read it was something to do solely with ankle morphs on corpses and that a zero slider preset for all dead bodies would fix it. But it doesn't seem to be the case (I can't find the thread anymore) but it doesn't seem work 100% if the time. They need meshes with no morphs. If they are wearing clothing/armor it has to be a special version with no morphs. And their nude bodies all need a special no morph version. If they are wearing clothing/armor and you remove it, they will not be invisible, but if you put that same clothing/armor back on they will turn right back invisible. And bodygen isn't getting an update ever at this point to fix the problem. But that fixes it. Except I think the DD body might be wearing clothing that has to go into the players inventory to be immediately equipped on reading that note. So that might not be an option.

 

I know bodygen grabs everything via race. And when it grabs dead bodies, it bugs. Maybe creating a race specifically for dead bodies like (HumanCorpseRace "Human") so bodygen skips them would be ideal. Then it wouldn't need bodygen entries for every body, and special meshes.

 

Problem is everyone plays modded. And that is a lot of entries to modify even just for the vanilla + dlc's its a lot. If an xedit script could grab every dead body and change their race that might be the best solution. I know a lot corpses get placed into the game world with a "Starts Dead" flag. But I'm not familiar enough with Xedit to know what it's limitations are. And thanks to weather season I don't have the time to find out. Then there is issue of what if a npc has a "Starts Dead" flag but isn't unique and something calls on it by race? I mean maybe there is no mod that does but at least AAF does TMK. So if it was a leveled NPC this would cause issues.

Going to take a shot in the dark here at this. Did you delete all of your CBBE bodyslide meshes? I am talking about the built CBBE bodyslide clothing  you created in bodyslide. Did you delete those files? Do you use MO2? Did you move the Fusiongirl bodyslide meshes from the override folder into a new folder? Is that new folder enabled? Did you build all of the clothing? It is possible that you may have missed some. Also if you have another body like a male body make sure that you don't build over your female clothing with the male body meshes.

Just trying to make sure that you got all of your basics covered. When troubleshooting it good to be thorough, check everything that you can. The answer to the problem is usually something simple and it gives you a humbling feeling when you finally figure it out. Good luck ?

That was probably the right hint

I reinstalled and immediately took the first option (I can't remember the name right now), without armor and the slightest wobble. Played 10 levels, not a single invisible body left. Let's hope the best.
