Pause effect of a mod during character creation/editing and AAF scenes

So there's this cool immersive glasses mod (makes your vision blurry when not wearing glasses) but I was wondering how I could make it so the effect is paused during certain situations (during character creation/editing and during AAF scenes).

 

If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated
