[mod] Daddy Pika Cheat Menu 1.6 compability version

Hi, I just recently had trouble getting the Daddy Pika Cheat Menu run on latest version. The Steam version hasn't been updated since January, and some private update from a Russian guy there only went up to 1.5 and had some GUI problems left for 1.6 to work.(buttons with missing icons, and reportedly some menus wouldn't show up)

I now went around to correct those for myself, and thought I should share the result somewhere.(and I wont do that on Steam, since they usurp all uploaded property) This isn't all too official, and I don't claim to have solved it all. I can only say the reported issues are done with, and I can use it in 1.6 now as far as I can see.

Since I will be using it quite a bit in the coming times, I might update if I see something, but otherwise this is just "as is" for the next person to pick it up and carry the torch.

Not a lewd mod of course, but something necessary for lewd to work or be fun in my opinion.

The original code from Pika is already on Steam...

Also Steam copyright does not apply if you (the creator) are distributing it elsewhere afaik. It is against the rules to redistribute mods that haven't been published elsewhere though.

Am I wrong?

Not sure. I can say though that there actually is another version on another platform, which is Paradox. It is also edited by someone else.

Yes, but the original is abandoned and doesn't work anymore. Although there was no declaration to make it open for taking (since the creator just vanished in a cloud of smoke), I think reviving a dead mod with a small fix while quoting the author is not dubious.

But those are the consequences of restrictive copyright law. Should holders just be able to sit on and bury artistic creation, barring everyone else from ever accessing it again, because forcibly pressed terms state they have 'acquired' it?

The CK3 community, and all mod communities really should have just stayed with the Nexus. They also recently moved towards some shadier praxis in some regards, yet at least the mods are free.

Some fold altogether though and move all theirs to Github directly. This is of course suboptimal, due to bad indexing, but at least the sharing and improving culture is guaranteed to survive.
