Understanding of how it all works

Hi,

I used to play Skyrim with adult mods long time ago and now trying it again. I decided to go with SE and I have to admit that making all the stuff work last time was more of a coincidence after hours of trial and error rather than any understanding. Would be anyone willing to point me towards answers to my questions or trying to enlighten an ape like me? :D Here is what I do not understand and prevents me of making informed mod collection.

  1. I have noticed that the XP32 Skeleton and things like UUNP body mod, some creature mods, etc have a couple of conflicting files. Which should be overwriting which? I assume the dedicated adult mods like Bad Dog's Immersive Creatures SE or the UUNP body and Schlongs of Skyrim should overwrite the XP skeleton as they are more "specialized"?
  2. I always had issue with understanding how the Bodyslide outfit studio works. I add the files to Mod Organizer 2, make the shortcut and launch the app. Here comes the issue. I always thought that you should just select every item you have there, select UUNP body and click batch build and that would make the clothes appropriate form the body. Now I wonder if I wasnt wrong the entire time and if it doesnt actually build the bodies for the characters. Shouldn I avoid this step when I have UUNP body downloaded or does the downloaded body work only for your character and that has to be used anyway for NPC bodies? I think here it would be nice if there was any type of guide for dumb people on how Bodyslide actually works in very simple terms... :D How does it work in the end? Does it modify the body? The outfits?
  3. What body should I install? I assume something like this one: https://babofactory.blogspot.com/2019/10/uunp-3bbb-vagina-smppe-body-for-le.html would work best, but I can't lie - I would prefer the character dimensions of normal demonized UUNP body with smaller tits, etc. Just noticed this one is for LE - what should In use for SE?
  4. Should I only use clothing mods that have anything special with such a body or anything with UUNP in the name should be fine?
  5. Installing the XP32 Skeleton it asks me under animation rig map if I want Physics extension, fake physic extensions or no physics - what should I choose to be compatible with the mods?

I am sure I will have more questions soon :P

Cheers,

Heya, I use CBBE 3BBB myself, but I believe the up to date UNP version is this one.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31126

The pictures are just one body slide shape, you will want to find presets to match your personal preferences and then "build" the naked body so it shows up in game, using Bodyslide.

It has it's requirements listed on the page and their installation directions seem pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, I have never used UNP or BHUNP so I don't know more.

Also, batch building can be time saving, but sometimes you *don't* want to batch build every thing. Only batch build when you are sure you don't have anything that might conflict. I have some editted outfits that if I batch build, all of their Zap sliders would be set to default, and then they would show up wrong. So, I will usually batch build is smaller batches, like only the outfits from one mod at a time.

Thanks, will actually try CBBE. If I could pick your brain further: Should I just download and install the body from this link - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/198 or is there another version I should use? Another thing - should I just install the body or am I supposed to do sometihng with building in the Bodyslide & outfit after installation of the body in my Mod Organizer?

Edit: Ah, I assume you are using this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30174 Is there any goood guide on how to convert outfits when I build my own body shape?

I have never fully converted my own outfits, so I don't know how to do that yet.

I have found tons of youtube tutorials about converting outfits and adding sliders, though, so I would search google for Bodyslide and Outfit studio tutorials. I have watched several as none was really a perfect guide, but since *most* of the outfits I am using have already been converted by others, I took the easy route and used those conversions.

The only things I have done have been minor edits in Bodyslide itself, like using the masking tool to delete specific parts of a mesh. An example is I deleted the skirt from the DX Necromancer outfit, so that I can wear a different skirt with it instead.

One more tip, if you are going to use physics in Special Edition and need HDT SMP then use this mod instead of the original.

It is a pure improvement.
