modog123 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I've got kind of a weird request. Does anyone have a copy of the 3rd beta of Improved Camera they could send to me or link here? The original Reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/cae3x2/mod_improved_camera_beta_3/) has a link to beta 3 but it doesn't work. For whatever reason, beta 4 doesn't work the way beta 3 did in my load order. Specifically, I don't get ENB Light effects in first person with beta 4 like I did with beta 3. I had it in MO forever but then deleted it for some reason when I decided to try to upgrade to AE. Then I realized almost nothing works with AE so I downgraded and I'm stuck with beta 4. I'm so pissed at myself for deleting it!!
dweezer Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 As an alternate to that older version, have you looked into the new version that's being worked on? https://github.com/ArranzCNL/ImprovedCameraSE/releases There is the caveat that it likely won't work with SL presets for the old version, but there might be a way to get this one to work in animations if they don't out of the box. 1
modog123 Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 Thanks for the heads up, I actually ended up figuring out a way to make the beta 4 version work. I had installed a mod that allowed you to control walk/run speed by mouse wheel and I had set left shift as the modifier key to make it control zoom instead. That had messed up everything somehow as far as switching from first person to third person. Could press "f" which is the key I have set to change POV, and it would only move the camera a little forward and then you would have to zoom in to switch POV. That's when nothing with Improved Camera would work. But if I held the modifier key it would. It was so weird. So I uninstalled that mod and reverted to a save from before I had installed the mouse wheel control mod and everything is working fine now. I think I will give this one a try though, because it seems to fix a lot of problems I have had with Improved Camera ever since it was released. The only thing I can't tell for sure is if it's AE or SE, as far as SKSE requirements.
dweezer Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 The version I linked is for SE. There's an AE version by the same author if you check their github page.
