[REQUEST] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Switch)

I am also having issue with loading the nude mods on Ryujinx.  Everytime the game loads after the menu screen, it crashed.  I'm using emulator on pc btw.  So I don't know what is wrong with it.  I updated the game version 2.2.0 from nsp type of file, since the xci full game rom doesn't have it.

Update: Nevermind, I got it working now.  I had to delete the -put-the-file-here file.  That's what causing the crash for me.

Awesome glad you got it working!!! I  tried it myself and it didn't work for me.

I banged my head all day and got nothing. Tried alot. Google searched far and wide. Doesn't seem like it could be fixed that I can tell. Anyone here have a steam deck and have any success let me know how you did it pretty please. That's pretty much my last hope of getting it working.

Thanks!  I hope you'll get your mods working on steam deck soon.  

Also, does anyone have good cheat table for Xenoblade Chronicles 3? It crashes everytime I use it and most of the values do not work.   The only reason I want it is so I can breeze through the game without a grind since I beat it on the switch version two years ago.

Codes can work too, but I'm not sure how to use it.

I skimmed through it, but I'm not super sure what you're trying to do.

There's an error related to .net, some related to Super Mario RPG, gameoverlayrenderer.so and freedesktop. 
I can't see it loading XC3, xc3-file-loader or the mod files at all which is odd. Is your Ryujinx functional in other games or in unmodded XC3?

Yes games are functional and xbc3 runs nicely. Even unmodded it plays the scene normally. I suck when it comes to logs and can't find anything on mine either. All the ones I check. I open logs folder from file but it's not showing xenoblade at all. I think steam deck has weird logs honestly. I only have 3 log files and 2 seem mostly the same. And no xeno. Dunno how I would make the log work even. Thanks for any you have given already. For everyone who has tried as well. Ima try my exact setup on pc tomorrow and see if the results are the same. To isolate it to steam deck and not messy rom dump. Or something like that

I have applied NUDOMOD and am having problems.
Eunie's model is replaced correctly,
Mio and Senna's models freeze when loading and the game crashes.

If anyone has run on PC (Ryujinx) GPU (AMD) without crashing, please let me know how to solve this problem.

Sorry for double post.  I think it seem it is starting to go back to crashing when trying to loading to the game.  First time I start up the game, it got into the game then immediately crashed.   Seem like it happened by luck or something?  Sometime it work, sometime it doesn't.

@haruz Just curious, have you test out a different skin mods from gamebanana?  I wonder if those work flawlessly?

I got the mod to run on pc ryujinx with my exact setup. It crashed during the cutscene but I expected that honestly. My pc isn't very strong. But I got to see the mod working. It's such a beautiful mod. So it seems my problem is isolated to either my ryujinx or linux(steam deck). Since the same issue occurs with yuzu at the same cutscene and the same way, I'm opted to believe that the steam deck has a problem running the file loader. Still don't know why or a fix but it's a good start I think

Honestly a good idea. I will try this and look into xenomods load file too. It might be my only chance at this point.

I managed to get this mod running with mod file loader. And it worked. So I'm isolating this to possibly the nude mod released having a problem with steam deck. Not sure why yet but I have a new way to run tests now to isolate it further. Will update this post so I don't spam.

 

Edit 1. I got eunie model to work!!! I am isolating eash character mod

@jmedia7 could you please possibly share what files in nude mod go to what character and outfit if you wouldn't mind. Please and thank you. I want to make you amazing mod work so bad lol

I have 100% isolated it to sena nude model. The default outfit not the swimsuit. I got mio default nude and eunie default nude running. So I dunno what the fix is but maybe @jmedia7 can better understand now. Maybe repack and reset the sena nude model and re-upload. I will test if you decide too. The sena model is causing the crashes on my pc build too. Please and thank you if you can fix jmedia. Also really sorry to bother you with it. I can't fix the mod myself

try renaming the swimsuit files to the default outfit and see if that works

Very good idea. I tried it and unfortunately it didn't work. Sorry. It was such a good idea I was so hoping it would be so simple

Last test for the night I think. I tried the mod setup on windows and tried running the game with all nude characters and it crashed.

Tried with just mio and eunie and it ran completely fine.

Tried with just sena the didn't crash right away but did before chapter end. 

So it does seem something with sena model causing crashing. I also tried the swimsuit model renamed as well. I don't understand the wizardry with making mods so I have no idea why only one would cause issues.

You're welcome! Glad I helped out!  So it's pretty much the main culprit is Sena nude mod right?  Hmmm what file name for Sena default outfit? If it is the issue, perhaps she need to be fixed some kind of way?

Yeah it seems sena mod is the culprit. Even the swimsuit one. If you take them out the games doesn't crash. The ones in question are

There are 2 files for each of those names. I'm not any kinda modder so I wouldn't begin to understand why it's causing issues. We just have to trust the masters modders to understand the matter.

Hi, I've just been able to try the mod on Switch and so far I haven't had any problems. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the swimsuits, I don't have them at the moment.
