McDougal Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Basically, the title. Running windows 7, looking to get playing Violated Heroine, but can't get RPG maker to run on Windows 7. I find this odd, as it hasn't had difficulty running programs written for Windows 95. Attached is the RPGmaker zip I'm trying to get to run. Any help would be appreciated. Also, Hi! Ark of Truth Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Make sure you have the Unicode set to Japanese. Control Panel > Clock, Languages and Region > Change Location > Administrative Tab > Change System Locale > Japanese Restart your computer and it should now work. Link to comment

Screenshot of the error: I have also extracted the installer to the desktop and tried to run if from there-no luck. Running through the compatability modes now... Link to comment

johnny2by4 Posted July 26, 2013 Share Posted July 26, 2013 Instead of having to switch regions every time, I found this program to be really handy http://www.hongfire.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=329 cant get this to work, I try to install rpg2000 with it and get some error at about 44 percent "the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." any suggestions? edit: nvm, I redownloaded and installed it successfully after swapping to Japanese Unicode. swapped back and attempted violated heroine with this program and was able to run it successfully. seems likely that I either had a corrupted download, or something stupid happened when I extracted it.
