Skyrim AE - Wrye Bash Patch Problem

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

after years, I finally decided to move from my 400+ mods LE Skyrim to the Special Edition (Anniversary) version. However, I ended up with this weird Wrye Bash problem. When I create a patch with it for my load order, it changes my in-game item names. I upload a couple of screenshots of that. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Most likely you have a mod that renames the items and you never noticed before the patch because it was overwritten by some other mod. Now the bashed patch has imported these names and applied them to the items. You can check by loading every single mod you have in xEdit and seeing if any of them change the names.

Second possibility is Wrye Bash has some extra settings listed under Tweaks, which you can see after the list of imported data when you first build the patch. Check and see if any of these tweaks list name changes in the description.

I managed to fix it myself. The problem was that I changed the language of the game after installing, so Wrye Bash was patching my load order with a wrong localization setting. Thank you anyway!
