Instead of spending an inordinate amount of time editing a pre-existing image in CS6 in a template-esque format, as I did with the Ahegao stickers, I will instead draw completely brand new images using a drawing tablet to create less amateur-looking, high quality images. I think the best approach is to be fairly neutral, not using too many exaggerated features, so that the stickers feel more universally applicable to all characters no matter what the participants actually look like.

 

I would love to hear what you guys think of this idea, and I would also like to know if you think I should scrap the Ahegao stickers entirely. If I go through with my idea, I probably will scrap them unless someone has already taken a fancy to them.

・I have a lot of experience working with Source Filmmaker on everything from posing and animation to set design, lighting and texture-editing, so naturally, I could very easily make a ton of high quality 3D renders using SFM in no time at all. This is the most easy and time effective option by far.

 

・I only have very limited experience working with Blender, but I do have a basic understanding of modelling and animation from back when I used to do Counter Strike weapon animations and model edits in 3Ds Max. When you combine that with how easy Blender at least seems to be on a surface-level compared to other animation software, I do not think it would be impossible for me to learn the ropes of Blender in order to produce some good quality renders that way.

 

・I am not a professional 2D artist. That being said, I am by no means bad either, and I am actively improving at the craft. Given time, I can definitely pull off a fairly decent Manga ~esque style, so I strongly encourage you to stick to your guns and vote for this option if that is what you truly prefer.

 

・I have never produced anything in a photorealistic 2D art style, so this could prove to be a very time consuming process, and I cannot guarantee good results. That being said, feel free to vote for this option if it is what you truly prefer.

ANNOUNCEMENT (2022-08-22):

I have not worked on the mod in any way since the release of its latest iteration, but that does not in any way mean that I have abandoned it or plan to do so. The mod is not dead. I have merely been working on some other projects instead - mainly my motion comics and audio-based eroticas. Most of which have not yet been released, but require a lot of work.

 

As such, I have decided to change the workflow for the project. It has thus far seen continual, active development, but I will henceforth only work on the mod when I get the urge to do so, or if someone manages to personally convince me to spend the odd week on the mod. This obviously means that the mod will no longer have a regular, consistent update schedule, and that feature roll out might slow down significantly. That being said, I do not think that the slow down will be quite as severe as some of you might expect.

 

 

This decision is not the result of a lack of community interest in the project. There actually seems to be a fair number of people who would like to see this project completed. Rather, it is the result of burnout and more of my attention being diverted to other projects.

 

In other news, I have also decided that I will keep the three polls active until I actually start work on the new renders/drawings. The results are fairly even currently, so I feel vindicated in taking this decision.

 

Sorry if this comes as a disappointment to some of you, but I feel that it is what needs to be done in order for me to have a healthy relationship with the mod, and to ensure that features release in a more polished state.

(1) There is a very real chance that the mod will become an offline only mod at some point due to the extensive changes that I plan to implement, but as of right now, the mod only makes changes to UI, dialogue and textures. As such, you should be able to use it online, but if you do, you will be using it at your own risk.

 

(2) As of the current build, you are not yet able to have sex with human NPCs or monsters in any way, but I have plans to implement a large number of sex-themed sticker sets that will allow the player to roleplay sex with human NPCs. Naturally, if someone manages to create separate female and male rigs and also figures out how to do custom animations, then that prospect will be explored as well. In truth, the likeliness that modders will ever be able to implement a functional, in-game sex framework featuring custom animations is very low, but who knows.

 

(3) As you can read in the description of the mod, compatibility with monster genitalia mods is coming sometime in the future, but as far as a functional sex framework with monsters is concerned, I highly doubt that I (or anyone else, for that matter) will ever be able to implement it. 

 

I am currently looking for employment, which means that I have less time for my LoversLab endeavors. For that reason, I have decided to dedicate most of my spare time to work on my passion projects - mainly, my audio-based eroticas and pornographic motion novels. That obviously means that the mod has had to take a backseat, but it is far from abandoned. Progress will simply resume at a later time.

 

I can already announce that the next version of the mod will include completely rewritten palico dialogue and a couple of other features. It may even include some initial attempts to rewrite the narrative of the story, but that is as of yet undecided.

It is not on the agenda at the moment, but who knows, I may do it in the future.

Hi I had fun Testing the Mod.

 

found a bug. If an NPC has a Name thats the lines Long some of the Subtitles do go outside the window so you can't read it anymore.

 

As Example this happens on the first time you enter Asteria and the Lord of Serfdom talks to you some of text gets unreadable.

 

It can probably be fixed be deleting the current ocupation in these cases. For example Lord Cockburn [SH] (Lord of Serfdom) (your owner) could become Lord Cockburn (your owner). Or simply remove the line breaks.

This would still contain the in my option all nessary roleplaying information. Because you get told that he is the leader of the expedtion shotly after meeting him.

 

Had an Idear you wanted to Roleplay that your Overseer takes a part of you Reward. Why not make that the punishment for Carting? it's likly that you only need to change the Text "Hunting Reward reduced" into something like "Useless Slave! Your Overseer reduces the reward for your failure!"

ANNOUNCEMENT (2022-10-21):

Hello everyone. I have some good news for those who have expressed concerns over my seeming absence and the recent lack of announcements and updates for the mod. I currently plan to resume working on the mod within the coming weeks. Moreover, if I have enough motivation and time, I should be able to release a much more extensive version of the mod before the end of the year, but do not hold me to that word. Do not worry, my absence was not so much due to favoritism for my other projects as much as it simply was a need to spend more time doing more important, IRL-related things. This does not mean that I suddenly have a burning passion or all the time in the world to dedicate to the development of this mod, but I will be able to make important and meaningful progress that I think most of you will appreciate.

 

Those of you who are interested in my story rework need to be patient with me. As I have stated previously, my intention has always been to do the story rework last once everything else is done. 1.0 will mark the last iteration of the mod before the story rework begins in earnest. 1.0 will also mark the first full release of the mod. We are nowhere near a full release at the moment, but I see no reason not to announce/reiterate these details ahead of time, so you're welcome.

 

Once again, sorry for the long silence and thank you all for your support and continued interest in this project.

Removing the parenthesized rank/relationship-status that is written below characters' names could easily cause a lot of annoyance, irritation and confusion for players. Believe me, remembering which slave and slaver go together is quite difficult if they were not included, and some people may have an easier time remembering a slave by which master they have rather than by a slave tag alone. Yes, some of the slave tags roll quite well off the tongue, but one could still easily confuse them. That being said, there is a realistic chance that I may eventually remove the settlement tags (e.g., "[SH]," "[SK]"), as some characters move so freely between different settlements that they are somewhat redundant for those characters.

 

I have had a different solution in mind for this problem with the name-dialogue overlap for months. I have simply not taken the time to implement it yet. It is a rather simple solution, and it should work, but if I am still not satisfied with the results after attempting that solution, I might just include a Slave Notes entry dedicated to NPC ranks and relationships and delete the parenthesized rank/relationship-status under character names all together. That way you would still be able to identify people with ease and understand their social standing and relationships.

Hey there! I am unsure if you have seen or the level of compatibility is anything even remotely similar, but someone in the rise community has found a way to change animations. And based on the type of animations he has added in, may very well be able to assist with the animations of this, if the animations come to be though this would very well be MH's first actual proper sex mod as well!

I had a long interaction with the mod author for that mod a few hours after I made my latest post. It was a highly productive and cordial discussion, but sadly, there were no easy solutions to be had for our problem. Among other things, he informed me that MHW and MHR use completely different game engines and that the tool that he used to integrate his custom-made replacer animations does not have a true counterpart in MHW. That being said, I definitely got something good out of it. Namely, he told me how one can pose one's character in MHW in real time using memory hacks through an MHW custom script for CheatEngine. I do a fair amount of screen archery, so that could come in handy in other ways beyond just serving as a potential foundation for a sex animation framework. The idea that it could be used for such a framework is purely my speculation, but it sounds like it could be potentially feasible for someone with a bit more programming skills than myself. That being said, there is no telling just how stable a sex animation framework that uses memory hacks would be, but feel free to give it a shot if you think you are up to it.

It sounds feasible, I know a good bit but I long left the programming scene a long time ago, but it definitely sounds feasible, but I agree with the stability problem, it would certainly not be the most stable or even precise sometimes, but a rough outline could work as a very good proof of concept. However it does sound very interesting.

And maybe- xD If you do ever, I'd hop in and post NSFW works I've made probably if there is an NSFW creative channel, if you ever make one, toss me the link, would love to join~!  And good stuff~! Glad to hear the NPC naming issue has had a solution found for it~! ^-^ 

 

Is there any way to get into contact with the person who made the tool for MHR? If possible it could be a possibility that they could 100% confirm if a similar tool is possible for someone who knows the engine?

A glimmer of hope for monster dick mod lovers:

I have already contacted the creator of the mod to show them my support, and I also raised another point with them while I was at it. Hopefully they keep up the work. For now, at least, the future of monster dick mods looks bright once more.

ANNOUNCEMENT (2022-12-04):

Call it the inevitable if you will, but I am here to announce that the mod is hereby being put on hold indefinitely.

 

Three key factors have led me to take this decision:

 

1. Making a mod of this scope and ambition requires a lot of time and technical knowhow, and it is therefore important to get a sense of fulfillment from your work in order to keep you going. Not only has work on this mod become an unwanted and stressful chore for me rather than something that I genuinely enjoy to do, but I also feel very strongly that it is not worth the time and effort to relearn 3ds max and to acquire proficiency with a new 3D modeling software just to complete this one project. We only live once, and time is precious.

 

2. Policies by Capcom and technical limitations inherent to the game engine of Monster Hunter: World present massive obstacles to the long term viability of many of this mod's planned features. This means that there is a good chance that the final result would have come out feeling half-baked, even if the mod were to be completed with the vast majority of its planned features included, as the package as a whole would be missing critical elements.

 

3. Not only are all of my other projects actually enjoyable and rewarding to work on, but they also have much more promising long-term prospects. I am getting increasingly more promising results with my artwork and my erotica. So much so that I will eventually be good enough to do my own 2D illustrations for my works, and I am getting very close to uploading the first chapter in my upcoming erotica series - The Book. Not having to worry about this project will give me more time to dedicate to those other endeavors. When it comes to modding games, I already have vastly more developed skills and technical knowhow with other titles such as MUGEN, so once I do get back to modding games again, you can expect me to be a lot more dedicated and to work at a much more rapid pace.

 

I would like to point out that this does not necessarily have to be the end of this journey. My plan was always for this to be a community driven project with multiple co-authors, so if people want to carry on from where I left off, you are free to do so.

 

Lastly, I would like to apologize to everyone for not delivering all that was promised. As has been said previously, it is not entirely my own fault. I can only hope that you can accept my decision. I even know by name some of you who have been following this project the whole way, stopping by along the way to have a look at the progress made. To you, I would like to extend both my gratitude and my most sincerest apologies.

There is a very good chance that the project will resume at a later time once I finish some of my other projects, so do not give up hope just yet.
