Skyrim VR Help

(I've looked on google but I can't seem to find a simple answer to this simple question)

 

I've never played skyrim before.

 

Do I need Skyrim 2d base game in order to play Skyrim VR? If I do need the old 2d version do I need to get the gold? edition?

 

Or do I just need to buy the Skyrim VR edition?

 

Any help and/or links would be great!

You just need to buy Skyrim VR (assuming you already have a PC equipped to utilise a VR Headset and have Steam/Steam VR).

 

If adding mods, if there is a VR version use that, but if not present then use the SE edition mods rather than LE (although some of those do appear to work).

 

Use this guide to set up Skyrim VR for the loverslab experience but really (really!) pay attention to the version numbers! - A slight difference can mean a large amount of pain wondering why things don't work.
