So the textures that the switch files you provided use .bntx format, which is a new one for me... I've mostly gotten support working for it, and I am willing to try to convert @jmedia7's mods to switch (assuming he is ok with it).  Those models use more than the original EST_C000.DAT and JUD_C000.DAT though.  I need the switch versions of EST_C101.DAT and JUD_C101.DAT as well, can you please share those files?

I just tried repacking this to a new svo file unfortunately it's still giving me green aliens..

I have uploaded the extract/repack tool I'm using below.
Note: I got the extract tool from @jmedia7's github link
The extract tool was just reversed engineered to repack by chatgpt and I don't fully trust it to work perfectly and might actually be the issue..

Usage:
dump the chara.svo file using nxdumptool on a modded switch and move it to your pc
the chara.svo file (to be used as a template by the extract tool) must be in the same folder as the extract/repack tool
extract the chara.svo and it will give you the chara folder
paste the mods into the chara folder and use the repack tool (Note that it will repack the whole chara.svo file which is almost 3gb)
then paste the modded chara.svo file inside the atmosphere\contents\01002C0008E52000\romfs folder (I'm using switch hardware)

EDIT: The repackad chara.svo file will be named chara_repack.svo by default by the repack tool and you will have to rename it back to chara.svo before putting it to atmosphere mod folder

Hmm, that's unfortunate.  Weirdly though, I think the repack script probably works since all the other characters look normal.  When I used an older version of HyoutaTools to repack the svo, the game would crash right after the opening movie.

 

Can you try two sets of files?

The first one (beta2) might fix the issue, I don't know.  The second one is a straight unpack/repack of default Estelle and Judith without mods.  I want to try the unmodded rebuild because I am actually wondering if Switch Toolbox is the problem; it does BNTX a little differently than the game version.  The unmodded rebuild does not include any custom textures, so it is a good test of my model script at least.

 

Please let me know if either of those two sets of models works!  (And if they do not, please include a screenshot so I can see what is happening.)

It worked!! Well, Partially.. But it's biiiig progress!!! 

Judith has now been successfully modded!
Estelle though turned invisible except for the head and hands lol

Now I need to figure out how or if it's possible repacking an svo file that is not worth 3gb.. I'm not sure it will work but it's worth trying!

Install: 

Download amorrow28's svo exporter. https://github.com/eArmada8/vesperia_model_tool/releases/download/v1.1.0/vesperia_extract_svo.exe

Then extract just the chara.svo file with this tool.

Then place the 2 dat files from this mod into the newly extracted chara folder. 

Then delete or rename the chara.svo file. 

-Should work for nintendo switch with this process as well. 

-Replaces their default outfits.

Awesome to see full model edits for this game getting made! I'd love to see some mods that give all the female characters super huge breasts like the images below. And maybe some lewd, revealing outfits like the third image too.
