How to bind Mod Costumes to another, unbreakable, costume?

So I downloaded mod costumes but found out that mod costumes bound to vanilla breakable costumes revert to the damaged/broken appearance of said vanilla costume when broken. Is it possible for me to bind the mod costume to another costume that has no breakable feature? Any insight or help regarding this is much appreciated. Many thanks
