How to get started learning and understanding physics frameworks (PE, SMP, CBPC)

What I mean is, what resources and materials did people use in order to pretty much become masters at HDT-PE and HDT-SMP and CBPC? I've always been curious on how they work, and I ultimately want to be able to make my own custom .xml files for collisions and such. That probably won't be for a long while, but I still want to try and learn.

This would mostly be a learning process for me. If any of you who know how these frameworks function, could you please direct me to different resources in order to start? I've found various guides on HDT-PE and HDT-SMP (I have and play both LE & SE), but they are either unfinished or don't really go into much detail on how certain things function. I would simply like a decent starting point for me to start on. I want to learn how to apply collisions to bodies and adjust them to my liking; for instance, I've always wanted to have male belly collisions work like female ones. I am gay, and unfortunately that means that compared to female content, there is much less male content. I've searched all over for male belly collision and couldn't find any that worked or was to my liking. Therefore, I thought maybe I could simply do it myself lol.

TLDR: What are some resources to getting started learning how to understand and apply these physics frameworks to make custom .xml files and collisions for my game and setup?
