Life is Strange - Sims 4 Collection

A project to recreate characters from the Life is Strange universe in Sims 4. (But even if you haven't played the game, they'll still make great Townies.)
Screenshots outside of spoiler tags are taken in CAS without filters or reshade.

Hi,  I have nothing but Mrrakkon & Triggerblade files in my game and these sims go very well with the world they created.

I'll probably keep going until I run out of LiS related CC, which will probably be quite soon now that I think of it. Maybe 3 or 4 more sims at most. I'm a big fan of mrrakkon's work, and I know for a fact that he's a fan of Life is Strange as well. ^^ I actually got the idea for doing this project from some CC I found in their library.

I just searching for Mrrakkon's sims for elliesimple's New Balance, cause my mod folder got wiped out, then "huh, LiS? In this site?" lol ?. But anyway I'm also inspired by Mrrakkon when it comes to CAS. He (or they?) introduced me a lot of good CCs for Sims 4.

 

Will there be Wolves Brothers too? ?

I've been thinking about making the Diaz brothers and/or Finn and Cassidy, but the only ports that exists of their outfits isn't that high quality.  It's the problem I run into most often, I want to add Jefferson and David too, but no good hair ports.

Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4  has a folder named Tray, the loose files goes in the Tray folder.
Mods goes in mod folder. There are no script files, so it doesn't matter how you arrange the mod files as long as it goes inside the mods directory.

If you don't have a mods folder, add Mods to Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4

Ah sorry I phrase it wrong. I just reinstalled The Sims 4 last week and my silly brain thought I already backed up all my CCs from Mod folder so I could save up more save. But it turns out I just deleted them, luckily I already find most of them online.

Wow! Looking good! There have way to add custom head mesh to Sims like new race?  Or just to morph vanilla head mesh? How you get so close to original faces?

Thanks! I think my process is pretty much the same as everyone else's:

1. I start out by looking at references, then I pick the face traits that looks the most similar to the character. 
2. I adjust the proportions and make sure the distance between eyes, nose, mouth, etc. is as similar as possible.
3. Then I apply skin color, textures and face masks, and once I'm happy with it I apply makeup, and add minor adjustments if needed.
4. When working on the skin, I find it often helps to use smooth face textures with few details and stack skin details on top. 

I don't use any custom head meshes, but I do use slider extensions. Those are included in the files.

Courtney is possible, I have the hair. Taylor will be harder, but I think possible. Dana is super easy, but also super hard since I don't have the hair.

Frank is pretty easy, except the tattoos. I also have to dig up the right facial hair for both him and David.

David will definitely be the hardest because his face is pretty unique. Right now Steph's face is kicking my ass though. ?

@Reila Hey, these are really good! I notice some of my own builds and sims in the background of some of your pictures as well, always gets me excited ?

 

Way back when, before I began uploading sims I did try making some sim versions of characters from the game, though all in all where I ended up was that I was more interested in changing those to be more of my own creations if that makes sense, though I do still occasionally use faces and outfits and such from the game as references for my own sims. 

I actually have some super old unused versions of Courtney and Taylor in my library, that I never really ended up doing anything with. They're pretty old and I've both gotten better at faces since then, though I never really cared over much about getting good likenesses in my end results.

 

 

The hair for Taylor here isn't really a precise match, or meant to be her hair from the game, but I remember thinking it was pretty good all things considered. I never really liked the conversions I found of hairstyles from the game, thought they ended up looking pretty bad both in terms of mesh and texture in Sims 4.

Yeah David is overall unique ? What version of Steph are you doing from Before the storm or from True colours?

Oh wow, these are pretty spot on! I just started work on Courtney right now, actually. ? Your outfits are closer to the one in the game though.  Anyway, big fan of your work - I'm playing using the mrrakkon's world redux save and relying heavily on the CC pack that was the requirement for the save.

I'll be doing Steph from True colors, I have her hair and clothes from that game already, so the only obstacle remaining is her face. ?

Well, in that case I'm pretty sure that you have the top (and the pants for that matter) I used there. I think it's categorized as a blouse in CAS, and I think the thumbnail might be of one of the pink swatches, though I can't quite remember.

Added David based on the following concept art. Hairline is not quite as receding, mustache is a bit too wide (but it was the only I could find that includes stubble), and he's probably a bit more dilfy than in LiS, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. 

Let me know if you find more accurate CC alternatives!

Steph Gingrich released!

Steph's face was really hard to get right, but I feel like I did as good of a job as I could, given limitations. I will probably revisit her outfits at a later date and expand her wardrobe a bit. There was a lot of concept art of things like athletic wear and party outfits I overlooked.

PS: if anyone has her chest tattoo, let me know.
