Face texture replaces seem not to be replacing

I'm hesitant to start a whole new topic for this since I'm sure it must be a simple issue, but I'm just sitting here scratching my head over it so here I am.  I'm trying to install my body replacer on a new install of SE but for whatever reason a couple vanilla complexion textures are sticking around.  I never had this issue in LE, and not knowing just how to word my problem, my searches through google and comment sections have yielded no answers.  I've tried making the switch to SE before and had complications but a new computer, better understanding of what I'm doing, and a seriously pruned and simplified list of mods I actually want to use have tricked me into thinking this time will be easier.  Weird thing is, I don't remember this particular issue the last time I tried to switch to SE (only to blast my game instantly into an unstable mess by mass installing everything I could think of and losing motivation to fix it).  Of all the issues I had last time, the faces and bodies worked perfectly.  Not so for this attempt.  I've got some screenshots of what I'm talking about.  I haven't experienced this exact problem before and can't seem to find a cause, so hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Complexion options 1 and 2 remain the vanilla textures

Weirdly, all the other options do exactly what I have come to expect.

The process I've gone through, in case it helps:

I started with rolling back my install to pre-Anniversary Edition, as I understand AE broke like... everything that involved a script and a sizeable amount of mods I want to use are not updated for it.  I'm pretty sure I've done this right, but history has taught me never to assume I've understood a new process correctly until everything works and someone else verifies it.  I don't think the game version is the issue with this one, but I'm ready to be wrong.

I next installed various utilities, libraries and resources.  SkyUI, PapyrusUtil, UIExtensions, that kind of stuff.  I checked my game after each one to make sure it appeared to be working, but short of causing an actual crash or dropping my framerate or something, those things alone probably won't give me a great indicator if something's not right.  Either way, they installed correctly as far as I could tell.

Next I threw on Live Another Life, Immersive Jewelry and Complete Crafting Overhaul because I figured that would be a very easy way to make sure more visible changes were showing up in game, and hooray, the mod menus were working, alternate starts loaded correctly and a cool tiara in a nearby chest told me my shiny jewelry was doing what it should.

Now I'm stumped at trying to install body replacers.  Only the above complexion options are giving me trouble.  Body shape, skin textures, and most face options work fine, just the two faces stay vanilla.  I thought at first it might just be an issue of the first replacer I tried so I grabbed some others.  I've tried it with CBBE, UNP, Fair Skin complexions and also tried replacing the head mesh in case that had something to do with it.  Same results the whole time, sadly.

Lastly I've just spent a bunch of time trying different configurations of things only for nothing to work.  The weathered faces are still there and none of my attempts have been able to remove them.

Very small load order at this point, even trimmed back to the basics to easily test the issue, still the same problem.  At this point I can only assume I failed to do something SE requires in order to replace certain things, or in my hubris at having been doing this stuff for a while now, I've missed a crucial step that I've forgotten.  Either way, load order.  Because of Special Edition's little complication with Anniversary, I've been pretty careful about getting the right versions of mods that have been updated for AE, so unless I truly am an animal I should have everything running on the most recent version BEFORE AE versions where those existed.  Also running SKSE64 2.0.20, which I understand is the one to use for rolled back game versions.

Other installed utilities are SkyUI, Fuz Ro D'oh, UI Extensions, PapyrusUtil, Unofficial Patch, HDT-SMP.  I had some others but I removed them to make sure they weren't somehow interfering with anything.  All attempts changed nothing.

Thanks in advance to anyone that might know what the hell I've done.

The complexion textures in racemenu are separate from the head texture used in body replacer mods. There are mods to replace the complexions as well but I don't know of any that are included with body textures.

That's already information I didn't have, so I'll try to do a bit more looking on the racemenu side of things, thanks for the reply.

I dont think it matters....

I am using Botox though and SBF all in one from oldrim on SSE.

There are a couple of complextions that look just like that in racemenu but when I run around does not seem to effect npcs.
