Skyrim, help with animation in Blender?

Hi,

I was trying to create some custom animations for Skyrim through blender by following this tutorial.  The tutorial covers basic idle and attack animations. I can create some idle animations but the problem is with some attack animations. I had a question. 

For instance, is there a way to import custom objects (weapons) in blender? Like for example, importing axe. And even if I import axe (or any other similar weapons), can I move/rotate the weapon/objects along with the skeleton bones? Because for some reasons I am not being able to rotate/move the weapons/objects. Even the dummy weapons set up there (by default) won't move. 

I followed this post. Tried importing some existing animations but still no luck.

Can anyone please help me? Is there any way, I can rotate/drag the position of a weapon (independently) like the main skeleton body and its parts?
