stanstun Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hi guys, I been studying Motion Capture for a while. Now AI techonology is developing, we can use AI to create very smooth .fbx animations (with a proper rig). I find these AIs can turn videos into animations. I mean, if I record a senario of myself kissing someone and dancing, the AI can soon make it into a proper animation. This animation can be transformed into Skyrim. I already have some attempts, using retargeting tools, the Skyrim rig can bind to motion capture rig. With some adjustments, it can become very smooth immersive animation. The reason is the whole body moves in harmony, we don't have to see a sudden neck break. And movement speed is realistic. Well, I have a problem now. I cannot find very proper resource to generate Skyrim hkx file. The resource on Nexus having a problem: neither I cannot export them, or I get a skeleton with IK bone such as Elbow I cannot retarget to Motion Capture bone. This Elbow is for animators to control arms easier, but Motion Capture bone dosen't need that. Because I am a noob of Blender (I know few 3ds max) now, I wanna ask, if someone has experience of exporting Skyrim .hkx files, using vanilla or new rigs. If you are interested to dig into motion capture animation, I have a little knowledge to share.
Capitto Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 I'm starting now and I have the exact same issue. Nexus scripts fail to export the animation as hkx file. Did u solve it?
