Trying to figure out rigged catboy tails

Okay, so it's more in the Andrew Lloyd Webber sense than the anime sense, because I have slightly questionable taste, but the basic idea is the same. I've made an assortment of cat people cc, including tail accessories, I'm in the process of updating/improving it all, and I'm trying to figure out the feasibility of rigging/animating the tails in a way that a) would somehow be compatible with WW/other custom body parts and b) I might be able to use to edit default animations for tail movement. My original assessment was that it couldn't be done with this game at all, but that was a long time ago and before I found out that people have been out here making custom penis/breast rigs that in theory operate on the same principle. I have experience with rigging and animating personal projects in blender, so the actual creating-the-things part is no problem, but not with altering rigs/animations for sims 4.

 

Also worth mentioning that I'm not trying to give all sims tails by default, but if I have to I'm willing to give them all tail bones and then just make the tail that's weight painted to them an optional accessory. Probably not ideal for performance, but if I was the kind of person to make good choices I wouldn't have spent this many hours on trying to add optimally fuckable cat people to a sims game.

 

Sorry for the noob question, basically I'm just looking for a starting point/general 'can it be done' assessment and this seemed like the best place to ask, especially for avoiding compatibility problems (I'm also fully prepared to accept "yeah that's not possible" as an answer again).
