Lewd loading screens help

So, a long time ago I got a loading screens mod for CK3. And now I've found some images I liked that I wanted to add to it. Only problem is, it seems the images are too big or don't crop properly or whatever else the issue is, and I can't find the original post that I got the mod from to ask this.

 

So my question is, if I add new pictures to the loading screens mod, how do I make sure they crop properly to my screen?

Have you tried adjusting their size with an image editing software (like gimp or paint.net)?

I have not. I have never used image editing software before so I guess I didn't really think about that. Thank you, I'll take a look
