Most reliable Death Alternative mod?

What are the different Death Alternative mods and which are the most reliable and recommended?

I'm aware of Knockout Framework, but I believe it has a reputation for being buggy, a source of crashes, and no longer supported. I used it myself when it came out but it didn't stay in my load order for long and it looks like I never endorsed it (probably because it didn't work well).

Are there any other death alternative mods out there that are recommended?

Bump. Any other suggestions?

Appreciate sharing the "Death Penalty" mod above, though I'd like to have a bit more consequence like losing gears and items, which is on that mod's TO DO list, but that mod doesn't appear to be in development anymore.

An immersive death alternative mod that does more than a "teleport to a safe location" would also be nice. CSA Abductions seemed like an immersive approach, but that was tied to a combat surrender system rather than a death alternative system. Skyrim had a very robust death alternative framework with capture scenarios and the like. Realize FO4 gameplay mods aren't as developed, but something like that would be ideal.

I understand what you're saying. Fallout is lacking in polish.  I just posted a bit about a glitch I got probably dealing with knockout for the first time. In the last 6 months my game has been as stable as any  Besthesda game.

I read you tried knockout before and some people have issues with it, but like I said, I 've been running it for 6 months without noticing major problems. My game does crash sometimes but its usually after hours of gaming and I run a lot of mods.

I'm pretty sure knockout has gear and item loss options ( i'll check)

In that thread I walked into mines twice and recovered, hurt and needing stimpacks. As for dying, I've woken up in a bed several times,(frig mines) before I changed the settings.  I think that was the first time I probably 'died' in combat. The other mods usually handle the player at a crippling injury or a set health level so I'm not sure if this was the first time knockout + combat loss event happened

My issue was my pc was stuck after the combat. Now the framework was set for default (which turned out to be 4hr which is about 24 minutes real time). I waited for around 15 minutes before tabbing out so I can't say if I would have recovered. I have changed the minimum time to 2hr (12 minutes) so if this event happens again....I also downloaded his non-lethal mod to test it. Also want to look into editing it down to an hour or less, 3 to 8 minutes real time.

I'm going to check out the mod Frank_BR pointed out but what I want is

1. You don't die, you fall unconscious

2. where you fell, near by or at the nearest settlement

3. robbed or not

4. assaulted and/or slavery or not

5. follower interactions - healed if stimpack inventory, carried to nearest settlement/bed, dog found help

I run survival so I'm not interest in a bunch of debuffs the like. waking up crippled/low health, thristy and famished is enough.

I don't think the linked "Death Penalty" mod is going give what you're looking for.  It doesn't even have item loss, which is why I'm not really interested in it. And many of these death alternative systems are more gamey respawn systems rather than an immersive death alternative mod.

I can give the KO framework another try... maybe it's gotten more stable. But what do you use with the mod? It doesn't seem like there are any mods that use that framework for adding consequence events / scenarios (at least on nexus).

Considering what you're looking for, do any AAF mods integrate with the Knockout Framework?

Edit: Actually, it looks like the KO Framework has not been updated for game version 1.10.163. Is there a DLL update patch somewhere?

I gave Death Penalty a quick look. It had nothing I wanted

Knockout framework

It's Version 1.3.11 and as far as I can tell, it's working ok.  I need to see if the gitch I got in my other post is repeatable

I reset the time to an hour so ~6 minutes. I just need to find a supermutant with a big stick.

As intergrations.   If it non combat, then the framework handles it. recover at the spot, health, thrist, crippled effects. no chance of death if not revived.

For combat, I let violate handle it.  assault, robbery with recovery quest. bound, with no bad end.  active on <25% and/or 90% on crippling.

I think 50% + chance of kidnapping  with [rse2 csa] and [raider pet] equal chance.

I haven't had a raider pet  event. But I had a rse2 csa event which was pretty interesting. Got sent to the Super mutants north of jamaica plains(sp) and barely into some ff action with Cait, the brotherhood of steel launched a full scale assault.  Gunships, power armor, explosions and a laser light show with my bare ass handcuffed pc running for the hills...lol. (the suicide super mutants really get the heart pumping when you hear the ticking in a enclosed space)

In my latest playthrough, I'll probably see more interactions. I'm level 23 and could only afford to build one automatron.....and have six stimpacks....most of the caps so far went into buy the books to repair power armor (which I've found a total of 2, all broken with no plates).......................can't even afford to make a servitron.....

====================================

Ok   I got into another fight and took another head shot. Got the body dup in the animation. The raider stole my gear and then went hostile and got gunned down by my followers.

As before, I couldn't move or access anything and only the mini game for the handcuff activated but you couldn't move so you are stuck. I waited and never recovered and since saves are disabled in survive I console saved the game and exited out. I  reloaded only to have my pc'd body disappear...

rse2 csa has a robbery feature so I might ditch knockout all together. there one more setting I saw in knockout and if that doesn't work  then its not going to work with my loadout.
