how do i convert an asf file to a wmv file?

i took a clip from one of my favourite lesbian bdsm movies using the vlc player.

it is an asf file. i tried to upload it to my shrine page but the upload was blocked with the message " you cannot upload this type of file"

i assume wmv would be acceptable. 

 

i tried to use the vlc converter but i never get a playable conversion.

 

any advice on posting clips in the forum or which converters to use  is very welcome.

Just  compress the file into a rar and then upload it .
