The moment everybody in the fallout modding community has finally arrived, a Super Mutant Playable Race, http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=44617

 

The mod allows the player to essentially become a Super Mutant, giving the player access to new perks, attributes and traits. There are also custom armors to fit your incredible hulk body and helmets to match. The race also adds a lore friendly, slight dip or climb in some factions. So go, go and spread the blight that is a Super Mutant, but remember with great strength comes great smashing!!!!!!

yeah, i tried it and it works pretty good. It has SM specific perks and traits too. There are some clipping issues when wearing rifles on the back but otherwise its cool. It will need some sexout specific adjustments ofc:)

 

This will open a lot of interesting possibilities for quests:)
