davejack Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 I'm currently playing a modded playthrough using a male MC, but whenever i wear any kind of headgear, it will show the character as bald instead. The headgear is invisible and the hair part that's covered by the headgear is also invisible. The only mod that modifies how the male mc looks is bodytalk. I did install the armor smith mod too with the requirements of course if that helps. Is there a fix for this?
Mercenary666 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Just taking a guess here but did you add the following to your Fallout4Custom.ini file? [Archive] sResourceDataDirsFinal= bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
Sgt. Marge Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Ordinarily when you put on a hat in the game there is a second hairstyle that only shows the lower part of the hair, this is done to prevent clipping through the hat. Sometimes if you use modded hairs on female characters if the mod author doesn't create this second hair style this is why you'll see hair clipping through the hats. So the hair is "normal", actually, and I'm guessing if you look in your pip boy it will show the hat as being "equipped" since the hair is reflecting this. The problem is the hat mesh seems to be missing/invisible for some reason. Can you give an example of a hat that you are putting on that is causing this? For example if you just put on something like the vanilla Postman's hat? Or is the hat(s) you are using added by a mod? Also, important question, did you install armorsmith in the middle of the playthrough? If so, what happens if you start a new game?
