Hey, I just started a new playthrough (still using SE 1.5.97) with an overhauled modlist with a whole bunch on new mods. Once I got outside I noticed these tall gray lines coming out of the ground. I know they are somehow part of the LODs because when I get close they disappear. I used the "tfc 1" command to be able to get close for the screenshots.

I generated the LODs following the "xLODGen" and "DynDOLOD" parts of this guide: "https://lexyslotd.com/guide/finishing-line/". No other parts of that guide were followed.

Here is my load order and modlist: https://modwat.ch/u/DarkFlame277

I also just updated my Nvidia driver to 511.79 but I don't know if the lines would have been there before the update.

I'll regenerate the LODs following this guide instead https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:1.0.0#xLODGen and come back with the results.

You don't even need to run LODGen now if you're using DynDOLOD 3.0+. You should look into getting your DynDOLOD files updated and make sure you're not doing old and obsolete steps.

Update: I just deactivated DynDOLOD following the proper steps, then disabled the plugins. I checked in-game again and the gray lines were gone. So this bug is with xLODGen or DynDOLOD/TexGen like I assumed. I'll regenerate the LODs following this guide instead https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:1.0.0#xLODGen and come back with the results.

Update 2:

I regenerated everything following the Step guide and this thread I found "https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/15622-se-guide-100-with-dyndolod-300/" and now the lines are no longer there ?

What exactly does the "Terrain LOD" part of xLODGen do, and are you sure that step is no longer needed now with DynDOLOD 3?

And no, I had it mixed up. You still need xLODGen to generate the Terrain part, or that's what I can tell by checking the dyndolod.info site

The occlusion part is the one that was moved into the alpha releases of DynDOLOD 3.0. If you want to use xlodgen to generate terrain lod you should use the latest release. And AFAIK xLODGen is used before TexGen and DynDOLOD.
