The King of Fighters XV

As someone who hasn't really played KoF since 2k1 and heavily played 94-99, how is XV?  I tried XIV briefly but didn't like it.

 

If it matters, character I heavily played (without years into consideration)  Iori, Terry, Kula, Whip, Vanessa, Leona, Clark, Ralph, Yashiro, Vice, Mature.

You can use the free camera from the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker.
If you move the camera behind the character, the view will be wrong, but there is no problem with the front view.

It doesn't seem to support console commands either.

Until someone makes a camera mod, you can use this one.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you, I've played a ton of 98UM and 02UM as well some other KOFs here and there. I've played some XIV, but not much since the netcode sucked, but from what I can tell, XV really is XIV 2.0. If you didn't like XIV, you really might not like XV.

I never really got into XIV. But I've been having a lot of fun with XV. I'm a legacy player like you, played heavily from 94 all the way to XIII. XV does feel like a more refined XIV, but that's a good thing. They took what worked in XIV and improved what worked and added a ton of new stuff. I would say pick it up and try it. You can really play characters like Iori, Terry, Kula etc almost exactly like their legacy versions. Almost all the combos and playstyles you're used to work as they did in the older games.

 

Watch some videos of gameplay, and maybe pick it up on Steam to try it out. If it doesn't suit you there's always the 2 hour refund.

Kof15 is more fast and ditch the heavy feeling KofXIV had so it feels a lot more kof than XIV

How would I go about actually getting this to work? I downloaded the UE4 unlocker and I'm puzzled as to how to move the camera in game.

How to use the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker

I'm not very good at English, so I'm using machine translation. I apologize if there are any strange sentences.

 

1. Launch the camera
Run the game, then double click UuuClient.exe. (If you don't run the game first, it will fail.)
Go to the General menu in the upper left corner of the UUU window, and click Select on the right side of Process to inject to.

Select KOF and click on inject DLL.
The text will appear in the upper left corner of the game screen and the camera will be ready to use. 

 

2. Configure the camera
In the left side menu of the UU, you can set the camera speed and the device to control.
You can use the keyboard to control the camera and the mouse to control the character.
Key bindings on the left side of the UU menu allows you to set up keyboard shortcuts for the camera.

 

3. Camera Control
Insert：Turn on/off the free camera.
↑↓←→ ：Rotate camera
7 and 9 on the numeric keypad: Move the camera up and down.
Numeric keypad 5 and 8：zoom in and out.

 

These are the default settings.
I am using a Japanese keyboard, but the button layout may be different depending on the keyboard of the country you are using.
Please check the Key bindings yourself.

Improved Kula a bit and added a very early and very broken Angel, this is the last main girl I will add to this release FOR NOW, I will focus on polishing this four, along with some basic costumes (micro bikini, semi nudes, you know my stuff, also probably one with pubic hair bcs I have a model done from a cancelled mod lmao) and after that's done I will move to other girls, I hope that sounds good.
I have specific girls in my radar but tbh I wouldn't be surprised if someone else beats me to them while I work on polishing the ones I already did, it happened with Athena already LOL, so I won't name anyone specific for now.


Also about the errors with Mai skin, I will fix them soon enough, that's related to material order, and should be fixed after I do a revamp of the material blueprint to allow for diferrent costumes per color.

The nude mod is in beta and it bugs out when you activate Max Mode. At least, it did at the time that was posted.

Each color has a slightly different variation, in order to satisfy most of you.

1 - Nude
2 - Nude + Pubic Hair
3 - Nude + Tan + Pubic Hair
4 - Micro Bikini
5 - Micro Bikini + Pubic Hair
6 - Gyaru Kula (my personal favorite, hueh)
7 - Semi Nude
8 - Semi Nude + Micro Bikini  

Was a bit tricky and had to do a good amount of testing, I think this is the first ever KOFXV mod that has diferrent models per color! So is a bit experimental, tell me if there's any big bug.  
Plan is for the other 3 girls I've made to also get the same treatment if you guys like this approach, so let me know how you feel about it.

Do you have any pics of the semi nude? How do you go about it? Is it Kula in her normal outfit, but with bits cut out so that her goods are on display? You do you, but that's what I really wanna see. I'd love to see Mai in her normal outfit, but no undies and more realistic physics on her tits/clothes so that nip slips and the like happen often, tho I dunno how realistic that would be.
