pandabear Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 How do I add a custom soundset to a custom race CM companion I made? I added sound to the race with tes4edit.
discariot Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 How do I add a custom soundset to a custom race CM companion I made? I added sound to the race with tes4edit. You can use Companion Sound Sets Or My Voice Extender I use both but prefer Companion Sound Sets because the voices are more interactive.

Thanks, but I should have been more specific, I made my own set of sounds and would like to know how to add them to a custom race CM companion. EDIT: I guess I could replace some soundsets from those mods with my own maybe, but I figured there was a way to add the soundset without doing that.
EvenstarGW Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I tried it once, but failed. A couple of things I learned afterwards: -Race has to be set to playable for some reason, or custom sound doesn't work -Sound files have to be in the correct format, look it up on the CS wiki -I think you need lip sync files as well, but you need version 1 of the CS to make those, as Bethesda broke the function in the update. CS extender makes it possible to run version 1 alongside the new CS. Personally I gave up on it as I decided it was too much fuss, even though I would have loved it if my Alistair and Zevran CM's had the right voice. Maybe I'll try again someday, but right now I can't be bothered. Hope you have more luck than I had.

[/quote'] Think I'll just use the convenient mods available, seeing as Skyrim is out in a few days.
