Same-sex marriage is now supported; gender-based restrictions are now entirely handled in script

-patch notes

So, obviously, marriage is now fully unlocked. But they didn't say that only those restrictions were removed. Does this potentially mean that pregnancy was also modified? I.E. Are fully-functional futanari now possible?

No same-sex pregnancies for now. Link.

No same-sex pregnancy currently, a lotttt of code and even more script makes very strong assumptions about parentage that would need a bigger pass to integrate it and not just lead to a lot of bug reports. But never say never though, I know folks on the team have looked at it before though hence why we saw it was a bit more of a challenge.

Unfortunately not.

I tried a workaround with a temporary male stand-in character to facilitate the impregnation, but it's not allowed to set a female father after birth either so it's kinda pointless right now.

I'm sure this is a naive suggestion, but what about just making male characters use female body/clothing?

It actually isn't, I'm just not that big on the necessary gene modding and it's a lot of work.

Waffleiron already built something like that, but it's not up to date currently.

I wonder if it would be possible to set the character's sex to male, trigger impregnation, and then set it back right after.

The only way I know to directly set gender is with create_character and doesn't work for existing characters unfortunately.

I guess the workaround could be to use create_character and set the parents, but that would skip pregnancy entirely. I'm assuming make_pregnant doesn't work with female characters.

Yeah, but you would still be limited to one parent (the mother) in that case.

And yes, make_pregnant is actually polite enough to throw an error message into the log about using the wrong gender for that one.

Feth, that's really unfortunate. Guess we'll have to wait for it to be properly supported then. Though that doesn't rule out making a system like Cheri had in CK2 for the "Everyone is Female" mod where you could pray for a child.
