How to use Notepad++ as an external editor for Creation Kit using MO2

So I've recently been wanting to figure out how to script using Papyrus so I can start learning how to make more complex mods.

 

I use the Creation Kit through MO2 and everything works fine when I write scripts and compile them using the Creation Kit itself because I've looked up how to do it. My problem is I want to use Notepad++ as an external editor because it would be much more helpful to me but when I tried to do it the first time it let out an error about not finding the application. I've already set up Notepad++ to handle Papyrus, I just don't know how to get the Creation Kit (which I launch through MO2) to recognize that Notepad++ is what I want to use to edit and compile scripts.
