How to fix curly hair sparkling

The hair in question is "Zoe" from this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/45373

Although some other curly hairs in the mod have the same issue.

It only happens from certain angles depending on lights in the environment. It also happens both with and without ENB on. Replicated by a 3rd party in their game as well.

 

Thus far I've tried editing nif and bgsm files with nifscope and material editor, but every time I try tweaking something that in my layman mind might have some effect, it either doesn't do anything (issue still persists), or the whole hair disappears.
