FunforJust Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Probably overasked, but I wanna hear from y’all, cause this is Loverslab. I got a new laptop that can actually run special edition(yay), but I already have legendary edition. I know special/anniversary edition is waaay better graphics and scripting wise, but are the sex mods that much better or is it just worth it to try and transfer some mod files from my old pc to the new one?

Pretty much everything that exists for LE also exists for SE, and if not it can probably be converted between the two. The only exceptions are mods that rely heavily on SKSE or dlls, as these have to be coded differently. The only thing off the top of my head that is SE exclusive is Fertility Mode tweaks. As for SE/AE being waaay better, not really. If Bethesda actually made a competent 64 bit conversion of LE to utilize the better memory management, maybe that would be true. As it is, SE is only really better in two ways: It has a stronger papyrus engine that can run more scripts with less performance hit It can handle more memory loaded at once as it isn't restricted to 4GB (more like 3GB in practice) Keep in mind that Skyrim is a ten year old game designed to run on potatoes like the Xbox 360, so the second point doesn't often even matter. Maybe if you have a bunch of added NPC mods and city overhauls you will get better fps in cities on SE. Or if you are adding a bunch of new world spaces like Beyond Skyrim or something. As for the graphics, SE has worse compatibility with ENBs. ENB was made for DX9 and and SE runs on DX11, so you might lose out on some features. Maybe people have improved on this by 2022, idk. I would not use AE right now, the updates broke a lot of SKSE functions and most stuff isn't compatible yet. And it's not like you get anything out of AE other than the Beth paid mods.
