I already got faster HDT SMP installed through nexus but it doesn't seem to solve things.
I'm using the latest version of skyrim SE (steam user)
Does anybody know were the fail might be?

are we talking about a static object despite the installed smp?  If so, smps work if you have the associated xml

How should I get said xml? If u want I can send a zip of the archive or the link.

The only thing I can relate is some kind of patch for skyrim cloaks or something in nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25240?tab=files but it doesn't seem to work for generic cloaks.

the xml must be applied via nifscope. First, download the mod, no need to install it, just take this folder hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs, and copy it to SKSE Plugin. The files are contained within it. You will also need these files (if you already have them, do not consider them)

Didn't solve it, but thanks for helping

if you have not applied xml to the mantle it will never work,
also it is not certain that smps can be applied to any object, it always depends on whether they have nodes or not.

These screens are just an example
