Izaruk Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 I haven't played any DOA games, including Venus Vacation in several months. They ran great on my PC for years without any issue. But at some point during my break DOAXVV and DOA5 are running in slow-mo. I say slow-mo instead of low fps because the framerate is fine, the animations are super smooth, just slow. I updated my video drivers and validated the installs but still got nothing. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?
Yorom Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I had a similar problem that holding the ALT button solves, maybe it will also work for you
Izaruk Posted January 20, 2022 Author Posted January 20, 2022 Ok. so I tried that. I also took it to the extreme and installed it clean on an SSD, no mods, also tried forcing DirectX11, (that helped with another game so I thought I'd try it). I have no idea what the problem is. Again, it also does this for DOA5. What has Team Ninja done in the last bunch of months?
account405 Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 Two things that do this to my frame rate. 1. HDR being on (turn it off) 2. Having more then one desktop in task view (must have happened when my keyboard hit the floor). Odd bugs.
zephusdragon Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 You can also try right clicking the desktop. Going to Display Options then scroll down to advanced display options and make sure your refresh rate is 60 hz. For some reason KT games really don't like if your refresh rate is anything else...
Izaruk Posted October 22, 2022 Author Posted October 22, 2022 Actually, I just figured things out less than 2 days ago. And it was actually both of what you suggested. For some reason Windows 10 had my default refresh at 30 hz AND I needed to kill HDR. Thanks for the input!
account405 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Nice. I know I played over a year with this problem.?
