bigglebojiggle Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I've tried to look into this on Google, but all the results where about how to remove a master file from a mod using Creation Kit, the issue I'm having is that CK is doing it on its own. In this case it's happened to two mods, one I made myself, and another that I downloaded. In mine, I had created a custom player home, a couple keys, a note, and some dialogue. The dialogue works correctly, the keys work correctly, and the house is properly nav meshed, everything works great. I decided to add a mailbox to the house from Skald's Mail to the front of the house. I used TES5Edit to add Skalds Mail as a master file for my mod. I svae it, and it looks like it's al set up and ready to go. I load up Creation Kit, follow the instructions from Skalds Mail's mod author, and get everything set up. Once I finish, I save, and load up the game, and there's no mailbox. I look at the mod itself and the requirement for Skalds Mail is now gone (as is the requirement for Alternate Start Live Another Life), it's just the games DLC's that are now there. I've tried this through Mod Organizer (1 not 2 before anyone asks), and manually and the result is the same. I also tested this on another mod and the result is the same. The master file is used was deleted. I have enough issues with CK but I've never had this. I've been wanting to make some minor mods but I can't thanks to this issue.

I completely glossed over it after extracting the bsa. Thank you. aurreth Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 There's two of them, CreationKit.ini and CreationKitPrefs.ini. But you are better off installing SSE CreationKit Fixes (there's probably an LE version of that too.) It includes a lot of fixes and ini tweaks, including AllowMasterESP.
