wolfwalker Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Want to start off by saying I'm very new to Modding so anything I say could be mistaken. As far as I know I am still using Skyrim SE and everytime I install and try to run SexLab Framework I get this message. I have tried running both 163 and 164. 164 doesn't allow the game to start hence the reason Im pretty sure Im still on SE. I have gone through the files listed in the screen shot and Sexlabutil.dll is in fact in there. Did I do something wrong and can I fix it or are we waiting on a patch or something. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated 1
Akzyra Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) Checking is easier and faster than guessing from effects/problems: Make sure SKSE is running: console command getskseversion Right click the SkyrimSE.exe > Properties > Details Tab Check the line that says version. SKSE must match game version, then SKSE mods (SexLabUtil.dll in this case) must match SKSE/Game Edited December 26, 2021 by Akzyra 2
wolfwalker Posted December 26, 2021 Author Posted December 26, 2021 Just double checked, I am running SSE 1.6.342 and I have skse64_1_6_342.dll so Im going to assume those are correct as well. SL i'm running is SexLabFrameworkSE_v163.7z
Akzyra Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) SKSE is correct, but SexLab is not, quote from its page: On 1/13/2018 at 2:23 AM, Ashal said: Note on downloads: For Skyrim Special Edition (1.5.97) use SexLabFrameworkSE_v163.7z For Skyrim Anniversary Edition (1.6.323) use SexLabFrameworkAE_v164b.7z AE also requires latest version of Address Library (available here) See this thread for more SKSE compatibility tracking: Make sure all SKSE plugins you use are updated for 1.6.342 / AE. Either make sure your mods work on AE, or downgrade to SE / pre-AE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 Edited December 26, 2021 by Akzyra 2
wolfwalker Posted December 26, 2021 Author Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) So Id have to use the downgrader or upgrade to AE? I have installed both versions of Sexlab and the only one that even lets me load up the game is 163.7z which is the one you get for SE in the link you sent, unless Im going to the wrong place Edit: So basically Sexlab hasn't been updated for 1.6.342 yet right? If thats the case I'll just wait for that. This is my first time trying to mod outside of the mod option in game so I thought I've been doing something wrong or messed something up. archershellsse Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 so i'm running the 1.6.1170 version of skyrim and i'm getting an outdated sexlab util.dll memo should i be installing the 164b.7z and then a down grade?
