tejano2828 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 So with all this modpocalypse (hope I spelled that right but I doubt I did) I have decided to shelve SE version until all this gets ironed out but at the same time I want to start building up the game like my LE version with homesteads followers etc etc. Problem is Schlongs of Skyrim Ae version is currently broke and I disabled all SOS mods/addons on Vortex. Question is can I continue with my latest save (which has SOS save stuff on it) and then save my current progress post SOS and then resume when SOS AE gets fixed or should I just wait. Tallking mainly about script/save/bloat stuff......
Sgt. Marge Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 If I understand you correctly, you want to continue a save file that you were using when you had Schlongs of Skyrim enabled, but you've disabled it and want to keep going? And this is a Skyrim Special Edition game? I guess it depends, did you have the little vendor house in Riverwood installed? because that could mess things up if you disable that mid game. I mean, you could back your save up to another folder and see what happens I suppose? I don't think SoS uses scripts, so it might be more of an issue if other mods you use rely on that mod being active, like as a master, or it having cell edits that are suddenly no longer there. This is just a guess. It's not generally recommended to disable mods mid play-through regardless. You could always start a new character for a while until the dust settles, if the current save gets borked (and like I said, make a backup of it first just in case.)
