Issues with Sexlab Tools and Defeat

So Essentially using pretty much any mod that requires skyui or uiextensions just sorta semi-works, basically what happens is the screen freezes as though a menu has popped up, the cursor appears but there's no actual menu, its just the cursor and the frozen screen, like there's supposed to be a menu there, but it isn't showing. Has anyone had similar issues? of so how can I fix it? its annoying as hell not being able to choose what SL animation and set I want, and I just have to keep moving to the next one to find what I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
