wildtangent Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 I know that having scrap everything, or spring cleaning can potentially break your game, or at least cause fps issues. My question is can you use the console to get rid of an object (the door in your garage, or the jungle gym in Sanctuary) would this break pre combines? Also what is, or are the commands I would use if this won't break anything?

Honestly, I don't want anyone to completely break their game so I'm gonna just strike through all of this post, but I'm leaving it up here for posterity. Spoiler Found an interesting post about this but I haven't tried it. https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/yet-another-question-about-precombines.4621/post-35153 Edit2: I probably should read threads more carefully. There's another post that indicates that perhaps what I detailed below might be a bad idea: https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/yet-another-question-about-precombines.4621/post-35338 Orange text = do this at your own risk, Green text = do this first if you are gonna try the orange text I believe that what they are saying is press ` to open command console target an object with mouse (use scroll wheel if you don't get it on the first click) Once you get the object you desire to show up as text on the screen type disable and hit enter type markfordelete and hit enter potentially it doesn't break the precombine, based on the information in that link Edit: but this method doesn't work for things that are actually part of the precombine, so it might not be what you are looking for. As a safety, if I was going to try that, I would make a save first, then copy that save to a different folder, and then try it, if it breaks things terribly then type qqq and hit enter from the console, this will exit the game without creating an exit save, and then if the game / landscape is borked you can copy your backed up save which *should* be able to be loaded normally. Perhaps someone else has better / more info than that, I'm still learning about precombines myself.
