OranGu Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Neither quicksave, filesave, nor exitsave works Any ideas would be appreciated
Sgt. Marge Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Here are some suggestions: - Check if Steam Cloud saves are enabled / Full (Disable cloud saves) - Check file explorer location on local hard drive exists and allows reading / writing, Likely the path is C:\documents\Games\Fallout4\Saves - Start game / mod manager as administrator - Check antivirus software, if it is blocking game from saving, add game as exception
Samuraitech Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 This is just from vague thoughts in my head, but aren't there survival mode mods that disable saves, pip boy access, etc.? Also ensure folder where saves are located is not write protected. Run Game as administrator. Game installed in Windows Directories. (Program Files). Windows likes to take control of these directories. Install game (Steam) in something like C://Games. Ensure you are not running out of drive space. Ensure you are not saving to a cloud drive.

Survival mode still creates exit saves by default. The other game settings do allow tweaking autosave settings, but vanilla survival mode does not. Edit: Survival Options mod is one that will allow tweaking save setting in Survival gameplay mode
