ReverendFelix Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I've tried every fix I can find online for this. It's time to think outside the box. Please read the spoiler before commenting, or expect to be ridiculed and/or ignored with righteous indignation. Things I've already tried; Spoiler Got in combat with new enemies, and killed them Fought a dragon 'Wait' for hours and hours Enter a cell with custom music Enter "removemusic muscombat" in the console Die and let the game reload automatically (which one should really never do on a modded set up) Reload the game manually Start a new game, then load the old one Nothing works.
Tlam99 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 If you have no mod installed what changes music, port Solsheim.
ReverendFelix Posted November 2, 2021 Author Posted November 2, 2021 I have not installed any music to change the original in game sound tracks. I have a main menu music replacer, which works fine. And a couple of mods add custom tracks, Deus Mons, SunJeong Ninirim Collection, maybe 1 or 2 others. But this is a new problem. I'm fairly certain it is related to the attack on Whiterun CW quest. But it didn't happen right away like it does for most people. The combat music stopped after Bulgrolf surrendered, then I was on my way to Windhelm to report my success. I ended up side tracked and spent some time fighting some baddies. That's when it started. On a side note... I can't get Ulfric to acknowledge the victory over Whiterun now either. Why the CW quest line always fucks up for me, I'll never know... Even in vanilla it did. I have exactly 0 mods to affect it in anyway. ...I hate the Empire... P.S. Are you saying try going to Raven Rock?
Tlam99 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Ok, this quest is...not bugged, but the scripts are very slow. If one is not patient, they do not terminate. Resaver might help. Check the part scripts. You can delete them one by one. It's the save what is changed. If you make a backup it won't hurt deleting the wrong one.
ReverendFelix Posted November 3, 2021 Author Posted November 3, 2021 I solved the music bug! While digging through CW quests in SSEEdit, I stumbled upon the answer. Apparently, the CW has it's own combat music. So the correct console command was; "removemusic muscombatcivilwar". Lucky find. And regarding the quest, yeah it's still stuck. I'll look into this Resaver you mentioned. Maybe it can help with a thieves guild bug too. The extra work with quests from Delvin and Vex aren't starting. The dialogue all happens, but the quests just don't activate. Then they ask me if I'm looking to do some work. Lame...

ReverendFelix Posted November 5, 2021 Author Posted November 5, 2021 Resaver is scary! I checked it out and am not really sure I know what I'm doing there. But I did notice some questionable stuff. It also seems to point out a lot of scripts and such that look needed. Btw, does 99mb seem like a large save file? I have around 120 hours into it. I know for me a new save is around 50mb, so 99mb doesn't seem bloated to me. The other mod regarding quest limits, I haven't ever hit a quest limit. I didn't even know that could happen. When my quests pile up too much, I go on questing sprees to clear them up. Old habit... So I don't think I have a problem there. Good info though?
Tlam99 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 (edited) 600h ca 52Mb. Looks like you have lots of mods adding new stuff and references. Beware of the referencehandler limit, little bit over 1.000.000. Stay below 800k. Exceeding this limit, the game is for the trash can. Bruma e.g. adds ca 250k referencehandles. look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/ag4wm7/psa_the_reference_handle_cap_or_diagnosing_one_of/ Edited November 5, 2021 by Tlam99 1
ReverendFelix Posted November 6, 2021 Author Posted November 6, 2021 Here is my Ref Count, which looks really good to me! "Found 247186 temporary and 104949 persistent loaded references, for a grand total of 352135 loaded references." Any advice regarding Resaver?
GamerLat Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 If the BUG occurs after killing MIRAAK you should use the following command: removemusic DLC2muscombatBoss Works for me
