Multiple MO2 profiles and mod installation settings

I wanted to check before I potentially break all my mods (again).

If I use different installation settings for the same mod across different MO2 profiles using profile specific ini files and saves, does anyone know if it will stay unique to that profile or will it affect all profiles?

For example, I would like to try using CBBE Petite in one set of mods in a "skinny" profile and CBBE Curvier for another using the OMG-Goddess preset in another profile.  Obviously this would require CBBE 3BA, CBPC, and several other mods to be reinstalled to change settings as well.

I suspect that reinstalling them will change all MO2 profiles but I'm not sure.  I just had to rebuild a dozen mods from trying something else today and would rather not spend all day tomorrow trying to fix things again if someone knows the answer.  I've been searching for about 4-5 hours across various site and have not come across an answer.

A profile traces the mod, changing this changes for all.

You can make mods with the output generated and activate, deactivate.

Like "Bodyslide mod for skinny" , "bs mod for curvy"

In there would be all clothing stuff and actor builds as well as hdt.xml.

This can be activated, deactivated in profiles.

There is no need to reinstall.

Additionally, you can install the same mod multiple times activating different options in their installer. For example, i have multiple installations of XPMSE, one without MCM, another with MCM but whitout cloack styles, another with MCM and styles... In that way, in each different profile, you only need enable the version installed with the specific options that match the necesities of the profile and disable the others.

More clear, normally i not use the XMPSE weapons styles, cause a lot of overcharge in the script engine and add a lot of animations. Normally, I install XPMSE whitout MCM. But sometimes i want test some mods that need and use the diferent styles. Then, I create a new profile and disable the normal XPMSE, whitout styles, and enable the installed version of XPMSE whit styles that is required by the new mod.

mod multiple times

Exactly, MO makes this really easy. Same build but complete different game. Works well on followers.

One setup mage, the other melee.

Is not necessary use MO. I make all that with Vortex and, of course, you can make the same with NMM and with any other manager because the manager, normally, not mark the difference. Is the user who decide what mods must be enabled and disabled, their order, their patchs... Is the user who define everything... Not the manager...

But, of course, some specific things only can be made with specific managers while others managers not allow you make that specific things. For example, in the Data tab of MO you can hide files and I not know other manager that alow make that. Time ago, I'm be forced to make a manual operation in one mod, manually renaming the files, to make it working in one specific configuration.

Of course, I not want start again the eternal discusion about what is the best manager. Each one can use the manager that they like, no matter about their capacities, because 99% of the times the capacity of the managers are practically the same.

One needs to got to know a manager, thats the point.

The better the more miracle things can be done. For this reason, stick with one

and beware of the debates.

Thank you both.  You saved me a lot of time and frustration.

I did not even think about this as a possibility to create different installs or outputs for different profiles.  Now that you two have said it, it seems so obvious but it never crossed my mind to do it.

Thank you a hundred times over.  I'll try some different set ups today, you have give me ideas on some other changes besides body types that I may try as well.
