sexbound [mod] Neki Support

I suspect pregnancy is still an issue with this mod? From what I could tell, I cannot get pregnant, or impregnate anyone (via Futanari). I have all the required mods installed, and all Sexbound Reborn content, and interactions are working for Neki, except pregnancy.

I have SBR set to allow any species to impregnate one another, and with a 100% chance for pregnancy for both NPCs, and Player..

Tried it with vanilla races, and got the message for getting pregnant in 60 seconds, and Sexbound Customizer properly tracked that.

Even tried setting the Infertile setting in Sexbound Customizer to "are not infertile" while playing Neki, yet still can't get pregnant. Not sure what is wrong.


Update - Well after looking into how to Unpack/Pak files, I tried what naQQru suggested, and that indeed did fix the issue. Pregnancy now works for Neki, including futanari. 

Was it intentional to have Neki not be able to impregnate and or get pregnant?

Female Neki are by design infertile. For the player you can "fix" that via the Customizer UI, but since without changing the "compatibleSpecies" config (or turning it off alltogether) you can only make babies with other Neki and female NPCs will also be infertile, no babies for the cats.

I see, odd choice imo. 

I did have "compataibleSpecies" setting turned off in SBR config, but it was still not working for female Neki, until I changed that setting in the species config for NekiSxB.pak.

At least it's easy enough to Unpack/Pack to change things if need be.

Other than that, the Neki race has been wonderful so far. I've not played Starbound since it's Beta days, it's been fun. So many well made mods.

Also, thank you for SBR, Erina Sugino. It has also been really nice for my time back with Starbound.

Compatible species only determines which species can successfully make a baby together.

The infertility excludes them from even considering to get pregnant, no matter from whom. Two different systems.

 

And while it might seem like an "odd" choice from the perspective of a race specifically designed with sex in mind, it is also reasonably justified through the extensive and detailed race lore. Makes sence that an aritificially created race (following pseudo-realistic bioengineering logic, not sci-fi "perfect sex robot with organic parts" logic) would not be able to reproduce.

 

Ultimately not my choice though, I just provide the features. If it bugs you that much, help me bug Juni into making race-selectable artificial reproduction support a thing for the Neki.

Right, fair enough. I kinda just wanted Neki to be the Asari of the Starbound universe. I certainly missed that lore info. But, I'm not really a lore guy I guess. But I have appreciated what I have found about them in game so far. Probably missed alot though. 

I have had a difficult time trying to find a planet with Neki on it. Supposedly cold planet types, but no success yet. I am very early game though.

Also, what exactly do mean when you say, "race-selectable artificial reproduction support"? Is that a mod I may have not seen yet? Kinda think of test tube babies, like from Judge Dredd or something when I read that lol. Probably not what you mean though?

The game comes with unpacking and repacking tools already, you just need some basic knowledge for how to use Command Prompt in Windows.

I used this to figure out how to use it, and pieced the rest together myself for unpacking/repacking mod .pak files. It's a very old video, but still worked.

So the lore accurate reason as to why Neki cannot make babies, according to the mod author Juni herself, is because "due to the artifical, sped up growth process they developed all the necessary organs to reproduce, but their ovaries are empty." (Same technically for the balls of males, but she already buckled under the pressure and reverted the infertility on them.)

So I thought "Hmm. We live in a sci-fi world. If tank empty, just artifically fill the tank with something." Effectively allowing a Neki player to just collect other species' reproductive fluids, inject them into their own bodies, and essentially act as valid biological partner for any species as long as you inject yourself with the necessary fluids. The weird, bio-horror version of "breeding robot".

Ah, right, insemination. Now I understand. That would only make sense to be able to do, especially in the future yea. I mean, the TTPP mod already has semen item assets, from the tentacles and "victims", those could be used for that lol. 

But yea, I can understand if Juni does not want to change that. But, maybe simply add it as an Addon mod, rather than changing the base Neki mod, so people have an official, optional choice for their own gameplay desires.

You're (all) bringing up a good point, in that I haven't made it clear enough to the player that the species is infertile by design, rather than it being some sort of bug or issue.
Honestly, I'm just not really sure how to do that on a technical level ._.

I think that ideally, it'd be best if the toggle in the Customizer thingy just outright made them fully fertile regardless of the way the species is configured, while somehow prompting the player that doing so goes against their canon/lore, if that's something they care about; but again, I just don't understand the technical aspects of it enough to be able to implement something like that myself, sadly.

I'm sure Erina could help you with the technical details, seeing as they also seem to want this option. Assuming Erina and you are up for collaboration?

Unless you have already worked together in the past, then great, should make it easier I imagine. I'm not sure though, seeing as I'm new to this community. Again, I've not played since the Beta days, so around 2013 or so.

Yep. Different race, has no support. And probably also a non-base NPCtype that doesn't even react.

idk if is a long time that has passed to actually comment bc i dont know if you are active on this mod, but is there a way to change the moans and orgasm? since well i tried but i couldn't and had the idea of well, go to the archives but since it's a pak version idk how to modify it well, unlike a zip and folder version where its all uploaded and can change between audios

You need to either unpak the mod and replace the files or write your own mod and patch the species' moan config data with your own files. Pick your poison.

Might be necroing but when my Neki's try to use "GFYS" or sex on furnature they just appear invisible with no sound or action. logs show the following.

doing testing on my end. its not Sexbound, GFYS, or Aphidities bow without patch. adding a little more and more each test to see when it starts happening. I will find the mod and go send the log to them.

Found the issue. the mod that breaks this. is Elithian Races compatibility. the mod causes Sexbound furniture and GFYS mod to not play animations.

Hi i am trying to combine Neki Floof and Fuzzier Neki. But there is seem to be only 1 _mediadata file. It seem that the game will load which version of _mediadate file i replace the one in NekiSxB.
