sexbound [mod] Neki Support

I've added .pak versions to the downloadable files and another preview animation, as well as installation instructions for those who need them.
I wish there was a way to add those things without it getting re-published as an update, but there doesn't appear to be one ._.

So, has anyone else had a problem with the arousal mechanic not working for the Neki? It seems to work for the other races just fine, but not for the Neki. Is there something I need to edit in the code?

They don't get aroused, they go into heat.

Hey, I've got a problem, if my Neki is taking part in any sexual activities - except tentacles - her sprite gets completly invisible and the second actor in any part doesn't move in any way.
Would be thankful for any help with that ^^

You have installed NekiSxB, NekiFloofSxB and Kitsune Fluffy installed twice.

You have installed "AnimatedTentaclePlant" (anitent.pak & AnimatedTentaclePlant.pak)

You have Lustbound installed, and an ancient broken version at that (Lustbound_Base_TentacleTweak.pak)

You do NOT have the SBR Aphrodite's Bow patch installed.

 

This is not a Neki issue, this is a "User installed the mods wrong and installed the wrong mods" issue.

This is probably a stupid question, how does the add-on work? Do I just put them both in the mod file or do I need to merge them somehow? I'm using the .pak versions btw.

You just put them both into the 'mods' folder

Can't get it to work. I assume im supposed to see the new race when I create a new character? I don't see it added with others.

 

 I tried one by one. One time the NekiSxB.pak into Mods folder. Nothing happened.

Deleted the pak and extracted the zip files into Mods folder. Still no success.

 

Whats wrong?

This is the Sexbound compatibility patch for the Neki race mod. Not the Neki race mod itself. Go get the Neki race mod.

Can someone help me? This mod seems to be conflicting with Arcana somehow in my modlist, it's only when I remove the NekiSxB.pak file does it not crash. I even did the opposite and unsubscribed from all of my Arcana related mods but left NekiSxB.pak in my mods and it worked. So it seems the two cannot coexist in my modlist for a reason I can't figure out. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

Edit: The 2.0 version does work. It's just something about either of the 3.0 version zip or .pak that isn't working with Arcana

That's interesting, considering NekiSxB does not touch any Arcana files, and your log says the error is solely that Arcana itself is broken. Its liqitem files have invalid data, although the error in specific is usually tied to using StarExtensions or OpenStarbound with an old mod that utilizes shortcut coding practices Starbound is to broken to care about.

I don't even use StarExtensions or OpenStarbound, could that be the issue? What's also annoying to me is that these two worked fine before. However, I decided I wanted to update my modlist and started from scratch since it was made back in 2021. I guess me deleting my universe and player files meant that whatever was working before was now going to be replaced by whatever errors these are in the newly generated universe.

I noticed Sexbound incompatibility's list shows Neki as partially incompatible with the patch, claims moans and pregnancy are disabled. Is that still the case? Pretty sure i heard moans.

 

Noticed the Aphrodite bow tagged NPC's wont have sex with the Neki as well. They just stand there and the Neki turns invisible. Enemies placated with the defeat mod still works fine though.

 

My understanding is theres also issues with mods that turn Neki futa?

1. Why would you read ancient old comments of outdated mods? Neki are probably the single most SBR compatible non-vanilla species right now.

2. Entities just turning invisible when entering a sexnode means you have installed something wrong.

1: Looked back and you are correct, thought i was looking at the reborn page but it was the older version. Sorry about that.

 

2: Not entirely sure where the issue is there, i have been using the newest .pak files for Sexbound and the bow, Neki plus compatibility mods.

Spent the last while switching from .paks to the zips and double checking versions etc. Will see if that helps or not, If not, will switch over too Sexbounds post as id say the Neki stuffs sorted.

*Edit* Well i dont know what changed, but switching from the .pak files too the same versions in zip form (unzipped) fixed things.

Hi, can anyone provide more details on what to do regarding this? I have modified neki species patch file (in species folder of NekiSxB) to contain these lines.
The customization menu no longer shows the character being sterile and stuff, but the character still does not get positive results on reproducing.

 

What else needs to be modified to make this work? Someone already resolved this problem but did not even say what they did. Could someone elaborate, please?

You need the main NekiSxB mod aswell as the Floof alternate sprites.

Just found out Neki are infertile by default and I'm trying to change that.

adding my changes on a neki.species.patch file on the sexbound reborn species folder doesn't work sadly.

I don't really know how to open and edit .pak files, I usually download the src/zip version and edit that instead. Gonna need help on this one thanks in advance.

Sexbound naturally loads before any race compat, so your changes (besides patching nothing yet due to Neki's load order) would get overwritten by NekiSxB. If you cannot edit the pak, just make your own pseudo-mod and patch the species file, while requiring NekiSxB to be installed (and hence loaded first). Priority of that mod needs to be at least -68 or higher.
