noway221 Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Hello Everyone, this one might be a doozy, but it's in an effort to get a mod installed from the LoversLab Site, the Devourment Mod. My unqiue situation is that I am trying to install it for SkyrimVR, which I have seen done before on YT. I have gone through the process to install the mods and it's dependencies , and have ensured to copy the /local plugin.ini folder from the SE local folder to the VR one, however, I always get an error stating that I need SkyrimSE.EXE for the .net script framework mod by meh123. If I change the name to SkyrimSE.EXE (from SkyrimVR.EXE) steam just downloads another copy of SkyrimSE.EXE, and clicking either .exe will result in the same error message. Every forum I look at states that its not possible to get them to hook up, however I see videos of it working a only two months after any given forum I have spotted states it is impossible. Again the error is "[28 Sep 2021 21:37:35.574] (InvalidOperationException): "Game library The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (18) expected game executable SkyrimSE.exe but [28 Sep 2021 21:37:35.574] have SkyrimVR.exe!" at" I also feel if I could trick the exe into running without it checking into steam, thus forcing the exe check, that might solve it. Any suggestions on how I could troubleshoot next?
jimmersac Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I use devourment MaF. Works right out of the box for VR. Only requires the base devourment file. And has tons of optional addons.
