Could you be more elaborate with what exactly are you trying to convert and why? Meanwhile, I have also been looking into backporting but haven't tried it out yet. However, this guide below would be a good start. Let me know if it helped you and if you need any more help.

What I want to do is use a BodySlide Preset from SSE in LE, however when I open the preset in BodySlyde, the body doesn't look like the pictures.

I am not quite sure about the presets, however, if you change the target game and output path you you could get its meshes. Otherwise, there is always the lengthy option of making a similar custom preset yourself tweaking the necessary sliders.
