How to add custom bodies to npc's

How do I add a nude body to any race npc?  Or a custom body to my new follower?

To assign a body to a specific NPC, you generally need to create a new race that uses that body and assign it to the NPC. Generally the simplest way is this:

 

Open FNVEdit with the mod that has the NPC and the mods that have any beautification elements you want (like eyes and hair).

Find the NPC record, right click it and choose copy as override and choose to create new file.

Find their race record and right click it and choose copy as new record and choose the new esp you made copying the NPC.

Open the NPC record in your new NPC and point its race to the new copy you just made.

Add any needed hair and eyes to the new race record you made (you may want to copy them to your new esp or have your new esp use them as masters).

Edit the head and body entries for your new race to use whatever custom head/body meshes you wanted.

Close FNVEdit and save your changes to the new esp.

Test in Game. Edit as Necessary. Repeat til satisfied or insane.

Of course, if the NPC is from a mod you don't mind altering and has its own race already, just edit the race record to use what you need.
