Mesh Annoyances (Help!)

I've been stopped by problems with meshes. Again! *sigh*

Something I was working on, the mesh still shows up where I would like it gone! I was expecting that, to be honest. It's holding me back! If anyone knows how to do this, "cut" a part of the mesh out, or has beginner tutorials on how to do this, Would be appreciated. Then spending hours and days working on it would be worth it. I would put in a seem where it's "cut".
And yeah the second cut is probably too much, lol!
But it was an experiment.

(I did test opacity customization on this particular pants. It works, so that will be my next project. I had the tattoos on for testing that. There's something like 15 swatches so it will take awhile before I'm finished.)

You should be able to properly cut the mesh in Blender. I link a short and beginner level video on mesh editing, i think it should be enough for that problem:

@babuchas Thanks! I have Blender. It's like trying to understand "Simlish" to me. lol. I'll watch and analyze this video when I'm inspired. I'm certain all I need is a Eureka moment. ?

(And yeah, wasn't going to ask in non-fetish groups how to remove part of the mesh on a Sim's clothing, haha!)

You kept the Normal Map of the previous mesh. With Sims 4 Studio, click on Normal Map > Make Blank.

Interesting. I may try that. If it's that simple? Would solve alot. Would that flatten meshes though that "hang-out" like a skirt for example?
